Putting Lara in Chicago didn't work;Lara couldn't really sell tickets in Texas, so Haymon seemingly tried to just put him into a fight town. If you looked at the schedule, you'll notice that Lara's next fight is heading to Miami (Cuban exile conclave in the US, so hopefully the Cubans and Cuban Americans come out to see him).

Beterbiev is being built as a world class light heavyweight, but also as a budding draw in Quebec. Bute-Degale is going to be a massive show for Quebec, and a pretty big opportunity to put Beterbiev's name into the province's conscience.

Beterbiev-Barrera isn't a big enough fight to hold its own show.
