No one has ever had an easy night against Cotto, not even the best of this era. Asinine statements void of knowledge. "Cotto was lucky", lol, Floyd Mayweather himself doesnt agree with you, when he called Cotto his toughest opponent, and after the fight, in the dressing room Mayweather said to Mosley "Why didnt you tell me he was that good". I have said this for years, Cotto has one of the best styles and by extension chance, to defeat Mayweather (doesnt mean he will). I have always said Cotto had and still has more of a chance then Pac, because styles make fights. Cotto being more confident, with the most offensive trainer in boxing is a dangerous proposition for any opponent. A rematch is intriguing.

Let's not forget that the judges' scorecards were a joke for the fight and typical VEgas judges: don't watch the fight and have FLoyd winning..

Floyd said 154 was too big for him to fight Triple G..I'm sure 155 against Cotto will be too big for him..but he gets dehydrated the night before the Pac fight..go figure...

Sure! Right After Canelo Stops Cotto!

Freddie I love ya brother, but your boy Cotto is about to get a familiar beating like the one he took from Pac. Don't bet both your houses.

He'll come back for 50. He'll miss the spotlight and headlines as well as dominating the sport again. I sure hope so. 50-0 has a better ring to it.

WHo was Miguel trained by when he fought Floyd? I doubt Miguel had a great training camp against Floyd first time around.
Pedro Diaz trained Cotto in the first fight While an excellent trainer he's an amateur coach. Excellent technique etc. not w good match for Cotto. He's a boxer puncher and fights at the pro level(different style).

if mayweather fights on, i hope its a fresh challenge, no rematches.. all pacquiao will do is bring more excuses if they fight again ("i wasn't the same after surgery" you all know that's coming).. he should fight khan, thurman or brook, leave old opponents in the past, move on.
Wait a sec. You would rather floyd fight garcia, Thurman or khan for his 50 istead of Cotto? Those guys stand no chance. Who cares if it's "fresh" if you kno what's about to happen. At Cotto has the experience and skill set to challenge floyd and have a chance to beat him. Any other fight has the same outcome as berto. With or without Peds.

Point is I'd rather see to hall of famers go at it rather than watch (and pay for) another snooze fest a la floyd vs berto.

Floyd > Cotto and Canelo and Golovkin.

                      1) Floyd
                      2) Cotto
                      3) Canelo
                      4) Golovkin

And the rankings will likely stay that way unless Canelo surpasses Cotto.

Middleweight is dead, and I doubt that Golovkin will fight the Cotto/Canelo winner..... so the only elite fighter under 168 is Ward, but Golovkin dont want none.

Floyd and Cotto will make the hall of fame, Canelo is only a kid with his whole career still in front of him, so the only one unlikely to make the HoF is Golovkin.

Greent. Excellent post. I concur except that I think it's to early to mention hof in a sentence with Canelo or ggg.
