He barely beat an over the hill addict. 1 round separates a Win with a Draw. DLH is 6 yrs younger and not cracked out he wins that fight easy. Plus his retirement when he had Williams, Margarito and Cotto out there is highly su****ious especially when you come back and fight a guy 2 divisions lower then where you are fighting at.
The scrutiny of Floyd's resume is not the issue. The issue is the LACK OF SCRUTINY of other fighters, i.e. Manny Pacquiao. NO one brings up Oscar's age, or weight, when Manny fought him. No one brings up the Cotto and Margarito catchweight, but they bring up Canelo's catchweight. No one brings up the Rios and Algieri fights, but they give Floyd hell for choosing Berto. The double standards applied to the top 2 P4P champions are endless!

Castillo got knocked out like 4 times and then went on to become one the best lightweight of his era , so MANY fighters have been stopped (some more than once or twice) but then went on to do special things. Manny had been stopped twice early on. The fact of the matter is floyd beat cotto when he was #1 at 154, lineal WBA world champ and WINNING putting the margarito fight BEHIND him. The manny fight was just for money and canelo deserves what he got, talking about i'm mexican and i deserve these dates. When the history books is written they will remember floyd at 36 beat a hungry, strong lion who was undefeated in an EXCELLENT fashion.

PS cotto was kept AWAY from floyd at 140 and 147 and manny we ALL know what happened in 2010.

What, as opposed to when Pacquiao fought him ?

I don't believe Castillo was knocked out in those first four losses. Pretty sure those were cuts that caused the stoppage but maybe I'm wrong.

              Your point still stands.

                BINGO !

They dont compare Mayweather to other fighters.

They have " special " standards for Mayweather.

Mayweathers resume > Pacquiaos resume'.... by a long shot.

                And he won head-to-head.

And yet those same posters will still argue that Manny is on Floyds level.

Regarding the comparison about who fought the best version of Cotto.....

                  Mayweather did, no question.

Has everybody forgotten that Manny refused to rematch Cotto at 150 ?

Cotto was their first pick, but the fight died because Cotto would not agree to another catchweight. They fought Bradley instead.

Mayweather would take the fake route to another division Title

And his supporters would act as if he beat MW champ.

Cotto is MW champ in name only. Him fighting Floyd for that belt, at 155 would be a complete joke.

Nope, if Floyd wants a MW belt, he needs to fight the MW champ, GGG.

If Cotto wants to be a legit MW champ, he needs to do the same.

Floyd and Cotto and Canelo are all pretenders.

People like you said he wouldn't give Maidana the rematch but he did. Why don't you be like the rest of the haters and move onto GGG? That's what all the other kids are doing. Get with it!
It's not our fault GGG is exciting and fun to watch, while Ward (umm, I mean Floyd), wins by tapping the opponent on the shoulder and holding and running.

Floyd is boring. No one like that. Don't hate on GGG because of it.

Cotto has always been an all around solid, elite boxer and I see him being as successful as he was the first time, but it's not good enough.

It makes for an enjoyable fight, a solid ppv, and an excellent way for Mayweather to cement his legacy.
He wouldn't be getting a MW title, not if the sanctioning body keeps its promise.

I doubt they go back now, it will look like a Floyd handout.

Floyd and Cotto and Canelo > Golovkin.

Floyd and Cotto > Canelo and Golovkin.

Floyd > Cotto and Canelo and Golovkin.

                      1) Floyd
                      2) Cotto
                      3) Canelo
                      4) Golovkin

And the rankings will likely stay that way unless Canelo surpasses Cotto.

Middleweight is dead, and I doubt that Golovkin will fight the Cotto/Canelo winner..... so the only elite fighter under 168 is Ward, but Golovkin dont want none.

Floyd and Cotto will make the hall of fame, Canelo is only a kid with his whole career still in front of him, so the only one unlikely to make the HoF is Golovkin.
