I dont know if this will be the war that everyone is expecting.

        It could be.

I hope Golovkin wins, he should do as he is definitely the better fighter.

        Golovkin tko5-6.

          And not just Ward.

          They are avoiding movers/spoilers.

They turned down Lara - despite the fact that he will fight Golovkin at 160, and despite the fact that Lara would be the best name on GGG's resume - and stated that Willie Monroe Jnr was a bigger draw.

          WTF ?

They refused to even consider Mora.

“I was offered [Golovkin] before he became a champion and a HBO sweetheart and declined. Too much risk, no reward. Now that he’s on top I will take the opportunity and expose the gorilla. Styles make fights. His style is basic,” Mora stated.

OK maybe not, but the unbeaten knockout artist from Kazakhstan continues to strive for superstardom in the United States. Since his HBO debut three years ago, Golovkin has quickly emerged among the network’s biggest draws, to where it’s becoming increasingly more expensive to find other middleweights willing to step to him.

With that comes his first Pay-Per-View headliner, as Golovkin and David Lemieux collide in a middleweight title unification bout October 17 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

“Pay-Per-View to me means reaching the highest level in the sport,” Golovkin (33-0, 30KOs) said of his next adventure. [Click Here To Read More]
He definitely comes out every time, with his hands swinging and providing "big drama show." With the Lemieux win and a win against the Cotto-Alvarez winner, his star should shine very bright and the PPV numbers should go up high. I wish him luck.

Beating Quillen would be making a statement if that fight could happen. Plus not fighting Ward but willing to fight Chavez and Froch at 168 tells me he only wants fights he knows he will definitely win. Not sure he beats Froch so he was willing to take a risk there so have to give points for that.

Sergio Mora thinks highly of Gennady Golovkin, but he also thinks the power-punching 160-pound titleholder has been matched wisely so as to keep his flaws from being exploited.

" I look at Golovkin, I think he’s a monster, obviously. I think he has heavy feet. He has some flaws just like every other fighter. Fighters haven’t been able to capitalize on that, and he’s had the best matchmaking I’ve seen in the last 10 years, aside from [Julio Cesar] Chavez Jr.,” Mora told BoxingScene.com in late October. “But Chavez Jr., everyone was clowning him on his opposition. No one’s clowning Golovkin on his opposition. They're just picking the right fighters, they keep him away from movers. They keep him away from guys that can switch the pace on you..... "

Mora had his chance to fight Golovkin, he even turned them down for sparring when preparing for Ishida. As far as Golovkin avoiding movers in his division, there aren't many. He pushed for a fight with N'Dam, back when he was the undefeated WBA interim champ and N'Dam dropped the belt. Pirog's a bit slick and Golovkin had no hesitation with signing for that fight. While Monroe is no where near Lara, he's superior to Mora. Monroe was coming off a victory over Brian Vera where he won every single round. The same Brian Vera that Mora lost a MD and SD too. Keep in mind Golovkin could've chose to fight Tureano Johnson or Jorge Heiland for that fight.

Lara's a no go due to politics. Andrade is a good option but he wouldn't even face Korobov and I've seen a newspaper article where Demetrius dropped out of an amateur tournament to avoid fighting David Lemieux.

Why would you spar Golovkin while preparing for Ishida ?

Mora/Lara/Ward, are on a much higher level than any supposed "movers/spoilers" that Golovkin has fought..... and that cannot be coincidence.

Pacquiao did the exact same thing according to Murad Muhammad.

The boxing game is all about styles/match-making.

It is no coincidence that Mora made that comment back in 2011, and yet Golovkin still hasn't fought a mover/spoiler.
