It's going to be very interesting to see how this PPV does. Mayweather left a giant power vacuum. It would be a good thing for this to do well.

Goodfellas is a classic, anyone who hasn't seen that film can't be trusted.

Anway, as far as the thread topic goes, WAR GGG!!!!

master spoilers aka excessive clinching and running passed off as boxing wizardly by ignorant hipster boxng fans dont deserve ppv headlining status.

only star action fighters should be in ppv.

it does a disservice to the overall health of the sport when you put a safety conscious spoiling boxer like floyd as ppv king.
That's how it used to be, but this boring, running, clinching, vacationing rip-off artist kept coming back. There's nowhere in boxing history you would see people pay to see someone lose so bad. Of course, he'll never lose because his whole style is focused on surviving, not fighting. You can match up this guy with King Kong and he'll manage to survive. Thank God he retired finally.

I'm shocked it has to be explained tbh.

LOL, is there a UFC fight on that night, cause i'd rather watch that, than watch him fight another CAN, LOL. My bar is definitely not buying this crap.

Beating Quillen would be making a statement if that fight could happen. Plus not fighting Ward but willing to fight Chavez and Froch at 168 tells me he only wants fights he knows he will definitely win. Not sure he beats Froch so he was willing to take a risk there so have to give points for that.
I would also, if I could be sure it wasn't just posturing to get Chavez.

TBH, I dont think we can give guys credit for saying that they will fight.

I suspect you could be right, maybe Golovkin would have taken that fight, not sure..... hard to tell with the different stories/excuses that come out.

Lemieux is a step in the right direction, albiet a very limited fighter.

It's not that people didn't know it was Goodfellas, it's just that it was a pretty tedious link...

I dont think anything has changed, it is just becoming more obvious.

                      GGG knocks opponents out.

                      Floyd knocks the audience out.

                      there is a difference.

name me a ppv floyd participated in that was captivating back and forth action that boxing fans can be proud of instead of the usual floyd ppv where he runs and clinches excessively and pot shots the guy not doing any damage?

look at his last fight vs maidana,

FLOYD LITERALLY RAN THE ENTIRE 12TH ROUND!!!!

Is that how you end a movie? is that how you end a great fight? is that how a great athlete signs off?

                      LITERAL RUNNING?

then you have figurative running from welterweight with his berto selection as opposed to 10 other more worthy guys and his 2nd fake retirement from another loaded welterweight division.
