All Berto is saying is Floyd needs to get in the ring with GGG and take a risk opponent wise. But not necessarily have to try and duke it out with GGG. Just show his repertoire of defensive skills against a guy who can beat you, rather than undersized guys like JMM and Pac. Or past their prime guys like SSM and DLH.
DLH and SSM are greater than Floyd because they beat each other in their primes whilst Floyd only beat them past their best is what Berto is saying. Berto is saying Pernell witaker is greater than Floyd because he fought a prime DLH. SRL is greater than FLoyd as he beat Hagler and Lalone, whilst Floyd wont take risks outside or inside the ring is what Berto is saying.
Take a risk outside the ring by choosing to fight GGG at middleweight, but play safe in the ring would be ok. At least you took a risk Floyd is what Berto is saying.

Respect for what? Being smart or being undefeated ? Because it will never be for being the best boxer that's for sure.

            He's not a master boxer,

            he's a master spoiler.

Add his sabotaging of fighters gloves, waiting till the last minute to announce his opponent while already training in order to sabotage his opponents some more, fake retirements to avoid loaded divisions, catcweights, shameless cherry picking, hiring memo heredia then hiring alex ariza via proxy just in case he fails a test he can blame pacquiao's former trainer, illegal iv drips that are deemed as ped masking maneuvers popularized by lance armstrong.......

even people who are in the al haymon floyd payroll are waking up to it.

Floyd being p4p #1 was one of the biggest scams perpetrated in boxing history.

He did it through sheer ignorance of the american population using slick marketing campaigns, fights vs inferior overrated opponents and of course acting like a complete wanna be gangster buffoon aka fake bad guy personality to sell ppvs and to hook low IQ fans who are suckers for the wanksta fake thug athlete.
I like the theory and could be true.

I consider Floyd the best winner ever.

Not the best or greatest of all-time but the best winner due to of course his undefeated record and the fact that he's made nearly a billion over his career.
              very good to a point...

one should not equate $$$ to rating a fighter/boxer....being undefeated is good...but not necessarily the top criteria of greatness..for the questions like did he fight enough and did he fight everybody fair and square for starters -will lead to endless discussions..

for arguments sake, say, if floyd did not retire and continue to fight more, he is likely to lose the 0...AND it may NOT even adversely affect his legacy...he may be even glorified on fights that he lose...for the point is he fights on to prove that he is a real fighter...

He's not saying that at all. He's pretty much summing up the basic sentiment that most level headed people feel about Mayweathers career and it's that he never took the necessary risks to give his best performance. We just always have to take his word for it that he's the best ever because he claims he never had to face adversity because he's so good. There's a lot of aspects of being an ATG that we havn't seen with Floyd and it's because he has held back for much of his career and played it safe. Smart move business wise, but you kind of have to separate your pride from yourself as a boxer. Which essentially is a no no for any Champion let alone the sports cash cow. There has to be that element of genuine emotion but what we can see now with Floyd is a showman/businessman who doesn't really have a dog in the fight. He just is playing it cool and cruising through rounds, potshotting. Amazing talent but we'll never know how great Floyd is because he never was aggressive like you have to be in a pugilistic sport.

on the contrary, berto was voicing out his frustration that floyd did not do enough to make a fight of the bout...he was expecting to be kod by floyd....ha ha ha ha...to be kod by floyd! berto believed the pre-fight hype that floyd will ko him..ha ha ha that may mean berto was already "groggy" even before the first bell rang....
