In his 21st fight Wilder beat Marlon Hayes who has a record of 23 wins and 17 losses and is ranked 459th. In his 25th fight Wilder beat a 42year old Damond Mc Creary who is ranked 476th. In his 27th fight Wilder beat Mathew Greer who has a record of 16 wins and 14 losses and is ranked 382nd. These are the kind of hand picked bums an up and comer fights in his first 5 or 10 fights but not when he has had over 20 fights. Wilder is about the worst cherry picker in boxing.
Wilder's resume, seen in a fair light

coming from mayweather most devout fanSkin color doesn't dominate my life. If you're a brave fighter that has a great resume, I give just due. Klitschko, Kovalev, Ward, Mayweather, Cotto, Canelo all get their respect from me for fighting the best. Golovkin refuses to fight the best. He is a money grubbing coward. I hate those types of fighters.
ohh... the irony

What you say in this situation if you are a fan is not that his resume is good. Because it isn't, even with those three names so what even if Stiverne and Scott have good records and are decent being better than decent doesn't make you awesome.
Instead you approach it from the stance that such a thing at this point is irrelevant because his run is really just starting. Length and power cover up a lot of sins at heavy.
As a bonus what you say when someone claims Scott took a dive is that Scott quit that fight because he felt Wilder's power and wanted no part of it~Comment

And your love interest (ggg) could have justified all this hype, with one fight, against Ward, who would have fought him in a heartbeatGolovkin is actively trying to unify his division, fighting Lemieux next and pushing for his mandatory shot at the WBC and lineal titles after that.
Wilder could have unified his division already, with one fight, against Wlad, who would have fought him in a heartbeat.
He could still give us a unified HW division simply by offering to fight the winner of Wlad/Fury. No need to worry about Povetkin if he did that.
But we all know he won't do it, so stfu with this "brave fighter ... great resume ... " bullshit.Comment

Don't you mean in 12/18 months time?
That's what Ward was asking for in that bull**** offer he sent to Loeffler.
What he wanted was an excuse not to commit to fighting Kovalev:

You can't compare him to guys in other divisions either. He can only fight the guys actually in his division so comparing him to GGG is just ******.What you say in this situation if you are a fan is not that his resume is good. And under that criteria only Wlad and Povetkin can claim to have anything better than Wilder and both are much older and have been fighting professionally for much longer. Wilder will have the best resume in the HW division if he beats Wlad and/or he retiresComment

Don't worry if ggg ever fights a quality opponent, win or lose, I'm sure you're at the top of the list to kiss his booboos all betterComment
