Harold Johnson was a master at that, I don't recall anyone outjabbing him despite his short reach.

**** Tiger did a good job of it against Giardello and the first Griffith fight. And others of course. He was great at bobbing and weaving his way inside. You could find him with a jab but it was hard to consistently hit him with it.

Pacquaio masterfully took Cotto and Barreras jab away, his skills are so underrated. Even guys who had success with it like Morales, Marquez and Floyd, he still did damage by countering their jabs. I mean, he countered Floyd's jab quite a few times. What does that tell you?

    Roy Jones is another one.

There's quite a few, hard for me to say who was the best. I'd have to think about it.

Norton was a master at the counter jab.

Pacquiao right hook is right up there.

The way Floyd just came right out with the jab with no fear as sign #1 that he knew Manny was hurt before the fight. He has 0 fear of the counter right hook.

I doubt Floyd expected to get his jab countered by Pacquaio.

His jab is his safety net, he's extremely hard to hit when he's fighting behind it I'd guess be was pretty damn shocked when Pac clocked him in the 4th over his jab.

I agree how is a southpaw supposed to counter your jab with a torn rotator cuff. Floyd went in with a game plane designed around taking advantage of Manny having no right hand.

Manny Pacquiao is pretty good when you throw a jab he can counter it.

Its strange with Pac because he can counter a jab but can't avoid a right hand.

Vitali was really good at countering the jab. Used his height to his advantage unlike most tall fighters (including wlad pre steward) who lean forward. His reflexes were sharp, hed just lean back and slip the jab and land his counter. leaning back he was almost always out of his opponents range due to his height.

floyd is susceptible to a good jab (judah, dlh, cotto) but at the same time hes good at countering it, specifically giving them looks to lure them to throw the jab and then counter it.
