And when are you guys gonna let one comment go, which was made a long time ago? Like how much more mileage can you get out of it?

Secondly, if GGG hasn't beaten anybody (which I agree with, he is not even the REAL Middleweight Champ yet), then what is Ward's reasoning for pursuing a GGG fight? Why is the P4P#2 best fighter in the world, and lineal 168 Champion going after a Paper Champion at 160? Doesn't make any sense now does it?

Now if he is doing it for the money, then he must know that GGG brings in the big Bucks, which means you're admitting that GGG is the A-side and therefore deserves the lions share of the money.

Ward unified 2/3 rds of the smw title long before triple g even started on this path ..But hey congratulations for finally doing something Ward basically did already !

GGG was the one who called him out that's why he obliged ! But hey he offered him 50-50 what do they do uh no we are the A side we need to fight you at 164 !

GGG is not the A side I don't care how much $$$$ you think he will bring he doesn't have any significant wins to be calling any shots !

Rules are meant to be broken.. we cant do nothing about it unfortunately..

And im not defending it, i hate it actually.

What it boils down to is that GGG puts meat in the seat while Andre does not. While Ward has the better resume with more notable opponents, he is yet not a cash cow; However Gennady is. Once GGG unifies the 160 lb division he should move up and challenge Andre Ward at Super middleweight.

yes we can do something about it and we do do something about it. we don't watch his fights. people don't like watching ward because he's boring. why is he boring? because he clinches a lot.

rules are not meant to be broken. they are rules for a reason. they weren't just made arbitrarily. the reason clinching is illegal is because it gives the guy who doesn't want to fight a huge advantage. obviously having a guy who doesn't want to fight makes a boxing match really boring and sh-itty.

I agree.. but cmon, if rules wernt made to be broken then we'd live in a perfect world... but we both know thats not the case.. so i respect your opinion, lets just move on from it.

Exactly, so you're making my point. Then why is the P4P #2 best fighter in the world and the Unified Super-Middleweight Champion going after a Paper Belt holder a division below him? Why? If it's not the money then why?

Unless he is moving down to 160 (which I'm not even suggesting) he won't even pick up a belt, and become a 2-division champion. So basically all he would get is a victory over a Paper champion?

Why is the P4P # 2 best fighter in the world not in a rush to move in weight and fight Kovalev? I thought he has the type of P4P skills that the likes of Roy Jones had. Why is he avoiding the one-dimensional Kovalev, and avoiding the accomplishment of becoming a Light-Heavyweight Champion? Why?

No, I'm not saying that GGG is the A-side, Andre Ward is saying it by being so aggressive towards "calling GGG's bluff", while not displaying that same aggressive pursuit when it comes to Kovalev. He knows it's a BIG MONEY fight and he knows it's because of GGG. It's his only BIG FIGHT option below 175, other then a Froch rematch and he knows it. Meanwhile GGG himself has plenty of BIG MONEY options, from Limeux to the Cotto/Canelo winner. So Ward is saying it, NOT ME.

Again you don't understand what A side means. It's not who's got the better resume, its who s the bigger attraction.its why Ward was B side to Chavez pre Fonfara, prob even now.

When GGG said anyone 154-168, and HBO said how about Ward, he said yes, Ward said no, not the right time for him. Now Gggs got the prospect of Canelo/Cotto,a mega fight, so Ward will have to find a way to keep himself relevant and not fall behind even more. Tough if you're looking at Periban and Zac Dunne

ok but some people actually defend people who cheat which is what i don't get. he's clearly cheating and he's getting away with it. this isn't just a couple clinches here or there. its his strategy to do this in order to win. that's wrong and its unfortunate that he is allowed to manipulate the corrupt system to his advantage. so instead of saying ward is a great boxer you can at least say he's a great cheater or he's great at manipulating the system. meanwhile a guy like ggg is fighting fair and look what happens: fans show up, and his fights are exciting. it's really a win win enforcing the rules but some fighters don't or can't fight under the rules so they have to be the a-side so they can cheat.

I agree, but to try and say its allowed like there is a technically acceptable limit is not accurate.

I think Ward should avoid Kovalev at this time until he becomes more popular like GGG. At this point, Sergey is a high risk low reward fighter at this point. In other words, there's no money to be made in that bout. It's basically pointless because it is definitely not a PPV attraction.
