    1. tyson-botha did well enough they didnt have to resort to giving away free tickets
    2. it sold out which is my point and i dont give a sh it about the gate. the fight is way better than mayweathers past fights and memorable

like i said before get off your knees and focus on how much YOU are making instead of your master
    Yeah exactly Talking nonsense.

Tyson-Botha sold way less tickets and sold less PPV at a cheaper price.

I could name you Oscar fights that didn't sell out. Oscar-Mayorga for example.

So like I said you don't have a clue what you're talking about.

This is Boxing and a thread about The stars of Boxing and the comparison between them. You are the one who replied to me talking nonsense. You're not obliged to.

Dude that number at the time was weak AF considering he just did 4+million in his previous fight. Dont try and make it out as some kind of success now.

Plus comparing it to now doesn't make sense. There is no fighter out there nowadays that comes close to the star power he had.

Dang Larr, you are longing for Floyd these days, huh?

What was Mannys after the May fight ?

600k was a success you fellas have some very weird ideas.

Mannys was worse than that. Both manny and Floyds ppv numbers took a huge hit after their bah him bug of super fight together.

I play favorites to zero fighters my friend. I call it like i see it.

Pre Manny, Floyd was averaging around a million ppv buys for guerrero type fighters. So 600k is looked on as not really a success. If you average 1 million buys then get 600k. That's a huge hit in revenue.

In todays times that number would be a real success but with Floyd and the star power he had. It was not a good number.

                • I think Canelo-Chavez cracks 1 million. I think anything under 500K would be a failure.

I wasn't posting on NSB so I wasn't one of the people, but I assume people laughed because of the opponent selection and Floyd's purse. 500K buys sounds good until you factor in Floyd's $35M purse for this event, then it's a financial disaster that the networks were OK with because of how well May/Pac fight sold. Looking at PPV buys in a vacuum doesn't tell anyone anything.

One thing is for sure though - the economics of PPV have changed since he retired.
