Yep. Ward calls bluffs when GGG is busy preparing for his fights. Meanwhile, Ward's looking for another cab driver for his next fight. What a joke.

I agree with you. I guess it came across that way. The way GGG has been picking up fans and selling out arenas in such short amount of time is being over looked. He may very well be on par with Cotto/Canelo by the time he has to fight one of them in star power.

Cotto has never done big numbers without Floyd or Manny
Against Serigio he was in the 300k ballpark.

Canelo without Floyd has also been in the 300k ballpark of ppv buys.

If GGG does around or close to 300k ppv buys he is already approaching or at their level of star power.

If GGG does something like 400-500k range with Lemeuix it may be an indication that he may pass these two and approach Floyd and Manny type star power after beating the winner of their fight.

Even if he dropped Ward in the first rd, it doesn't matter because the fight would still be an all around losing proposition for Golovkin and would hurt his brand as a draw.

So according to your logic GGG vs Ward isn't even good enough for regular TV and even if GGG knocked Ward out in the first rd, it would still hurt his brand?!

Knocking out Andre Ward in the first rd would hurt his brand...?!

You hear how ******ed you sound?!
And another ignorant Yank with poor reading comprehension.

I said it would hurt his brand as A DRAW because a GGG-Ward fight would draw lower numbers than his regular fights against other opponents. When you add low numbers into a total, it brings down the average.

Sorry for over estimating your capacity to comprehend logic.

Before Floyd and Manny crossed over, you routinely had fights like Ward-GGG on PPV 4-5x a year. And it only stopped when Floyd and Manny started generating ridiculous amounts of money that it stopped. The fact is, neither GGG nor Ward is a bonafide "A-side" in the tradional sense. Most of the people interested in both are hardcore fight fans. And over my two decades+ as a fight fan, 350K is a good number for anyone nit named Floyd, Manny, Oscar, or a popular heavyweight champ. And 500K is the max that guys like this end up doing without a crossover star. Ward and GGG are talented, but not crossover stars. So yes, they should be compensated for taking the risk of fighting each other. Which is why hardcore fans would pay PPV to see it. But the notion that one is significantly more popular than thw other in the grand scheme. So for either to play d1ck measuring games is a blatant duck.
