If you knew both fighters and how they fight, then you would know that the fight wouldn't even be close. What you saw in the May-Pac fight is what was expected.

that something different might happen...in the Berto fight, you knew nothing would happen

I agree with Thurman in knowing what you purchase. I don't know why people buy a mayweather fight and expect a slugfest. He has used his defensive style of fighting for years and it's worked for him. So why would he change it? People say he's boring but yet folks keep paying the money. So if u purchase a fight knowing his style then that's your own fault if you feel that it wasn't exciting.

Floyd has had the same defensive style since 2007. Why you would pay that much for a fight and expect anything different after nearly a decade of the same thing is beyond me.

He quit his gameplan, and his only chance for success.

Pac woulda had to go out on his shield.

I actually think he did all he could, under those circumstances.

            Good point.

And, boring compared to what ?

People watch Mayweather to see elite skills and a consumate professional.

So, 2.5 million people thought Canelo was boring..... and then those same 2.5 million people, plus another 2 million people, shelled out $100 knowing that they would watch another boring fight?

I think it is presumptuous to speak on behalf of those 4.5 million people.

Pacquiao/Mayweather was flat, but if you didn't know the fighters, and had no preconceived notions, you might see that fight a little differently.

That fight did not pan out as many thought (hoped/wished/dreamed).....
..... I am sure that most of those people found it boring.

I dont think we would be hearing too much about that fight being boring had Manny won..... then again, a good enough performance to beat Mayweather would likely mean that Pac would have gone out on his shield.
