One can argue Floyd being approx #15th pretty easily via the defense, technical accuracy and ability to win. The best boxers in history begin at the "top 5" imo....with era and style being such huge variables......
Floyd in 2007-2010 would have beaten most of the other mentioned fighters...Hearns with the reach would have given Floyd problems-i can see Floyd losing that one, Duran would have gotten frazzled and sloppy- Sugar Ray had more power but he would have lost rounds so....its all in perspective at that level of elite to try and come up with a number rank.

This is where Floyd fans aren't quite understanding the term risk. Fighting Canelo at a CW isn't a risk, its to preserve a zero and give yourself the best chance to win. Canelo wasn't such a monster that SSM could fightt Canelo, so no bravery award is going to go to Floyd for fighting Canelo at a weight Floyd had a title.

Took such a dangerous fight? It was the correct fight for Floyd at that time, but dangerous isn't the word. Canelo was someone who hadn't really fought anyone, he struggled with Trout his best win at the time. Canelo was no monster. Floyd fighting canelo at a CW doesn't equal what SRL did against Hagler or Duran did to Barkley even.
