Mayweather's IV injection (Master thread)

Yeah, because of USADA. That's just my guess. But on second thought, I'm thinking the real reason behind it might be more because of the UFC staff internally.Comment

The low to mid-tier fighters are the ones who will be mostly affected by this new policy. High profile fighters will be granted a "retroactive TUE" whenever they're caught cheating, such is the case with Froid I mean Floyd Mayweather Jr.

And I also lean more towards the UFC being very against it internally because it could still go on otherwise. With the UFC being on board though, there is no escape. They will probably even have to get re-weighed to check their weights and so forth. And if caught, the penalty will be high.Comment

USADA being responsible? Possibly. But if that were the case, then that would mean they're in Mayweather's pocket. A little hypocritical, don't ya think, for them ban IV use in UFC because of their drug testing protocol, yet they allowed Mayweather IV use back in May?
And I doubt the it's the UFC's idea. I would suspect the UFC has very little interest in anything other than their production.
Most likely, the ban on IV use for the purpose of dehydration is being issued by NSAC. They are the organization who performed the major overhaul to drug testing protocol and penalties for UFC. There's a whole entire list with details of the offenses and the resulting penalties for violation of their new rules.
I just have to say, that Floyd Mayweather was very fortunate that he practiced a pre fight ritual and got away with it just a few months before it was banned.
And it's safe to say that NSAC will soon implement a similar overhaul to the sport of boxing in the near future.Comment

Sorry, that's not my line of work. If being impractical helps you cope with the fact that Floyd Mayweather Jr. is widely regarded as a disgraced cheater, then by all means, have at it!

So doing nothing is now disguised as impractical! Hence, you will just sit and complain and cry. Much good that will do you like your gif reversing the loss!
