Here is the problem codes require you to think. If a code says in event emergency and a retroactive TUE is granted for and IV to treat moderate dehydration then it is on you to think if that is in agreement with the code.

How can WADA's code identity every athlete's dehydration symptoms and say, ''no you're not dehydrated, go drink some water.'' The last quote is just clearing that fact of advantages of oral vs IV. IV has no advantage nor does oral over IV. What's hard to understand about that? He applied for it on May 19th. USADA even ****ing said so in their reply to Hauser because per the contract its one of the things they had to release to Arum, Manny etc. They cant keep it secret and lie about it like they do most of their records.

That's so easy to say isn't it? So 3 months later after Kevin Ioles late May article it takes a biased sports writer that has for years hated Floyd make an article about ''Trusting Usada?'' The significant info that Top Rank was already aware of since May, but instead decided to release it days before the Berto 49-0 venture and hire a writer to do it so they wouldn't get sued. Keep in mind Hauser hasn't made any direct claim or he would get sued. It's just fictional fun writing. 3 months in idle time when ''concrete evidence'' by Top Rank - giving details to Hauser - never made a statement about taking this to courts...

I would just like to add that the medical alternative must be a safer and more acceptable alternative. If such an alternative exists, there is no need to even consider the IV method. Case in point, IV vs Oral hydration.

Also, WADA didn't prohibit IV infusion due to masking alone, they also took into account the fighters safety. Having an IV infusion opens up the fighter to potential health risks (blood clotting, hematoma, infection, etc.). So in reality, not only is WADA protecting the integrity of the sport, it is also protecting the health of the fighter by prohibiting IV infusions for treatment of dehydration.

Therefore, there really is no point and no justification to choose an IV infusion over Oral hydration when the fighter is under no medical emergency. Especially when you consider that there is no scientific fact to back up any advantage an IV has over Oral and even more so when you couple that with the health risks involved with an IV. Which is why WADA was very clear on that medical emergency clause. And their logic is sound.

Lastly, if that wasn't enough, here's another tidbit that also shoots down the argument defending the 750ml IV rehydration that Froid undertook. Link

There can be serious complications, such as cerebral edema, if someone is significantly dehydrated and rehydration is done too rapidly. In addition, someone who has been vomiting may have difficulty retaining large amounts of fluid. Typically, very small amounts of fluids are given frequently, such as every few minutes for several hours, and the person's health status is monitored.

So as everyone can see, there was absolutely no logical and justifiable reason for Froid to get hooked up to a 750ml IV for treatment of dehydration. It just doesn't add up. What does add up is if he did it just so he could mask and flush something out. Then everything makes sense and the story becomes clear.

Right, that's why it's so logical to have a sports writer do it when Top Rank - the actual promoters - are the first and foremost to have concrete evidence on the matter since they were told about it once approved. I guess Top Rank never bothered with it an told Hauser ''here's a copy of our contracts, we don't get it, see what fun you can do with it. I mean you're hired with HBO, they love Floyd, and you're the lead person to induct members into the BWAA, trust me, people will always believe you!''
