Yeah, but to be fair, that was the type of person Barry was. His rookie season, he had the opportunity to lead the league in rushing yards and the coach gave him the opportunity to go back in, knowing that he only needed 10 more yards to go. Barry being Barry, chose not to go back in the game. Barry never cared about the spotlight, Mayweather does.

With that being said, i think Mayweather will retire. His skills have diminished, he's made tons of money and there's nothing more he can do in his career that'll raise his all time great status, unless he goes up 2 weight classes to fight ggg. I think this fight will be a good fight and there's a strong possibility that he loses this fight. I do expect Mayweather to get knocked down in this fight. It remains to be seen if he'll get up from that.

Every Mayweather vs X fight thread on Boxingscene goes like this:

      Round 1 : Mayweather's
Round 2 : Close but still Mayweather got it
Round 3 : X is taken to the school
      Round 4 : the party begins 4-0
Round 5 : X didn't do enough to win it
      .
      .
      .
      Round 12 : shutout

and when the score is announced 119-109 they start to complain about the blind referee!!

I feel like there is someone paying for those posters! hehehe
This post is all over the place, I hope you got paid for this jibberish.

Why would the best fighter and the "A" side have to go up 2 weight classes, these same casual fans that say GGG shouldn't have to go up 1 weight class to fight Ward.

Like Cortez stated, FMJ is the best a marketing. If he was to fight GGG it he would make him come down in weight and it will be Canelo all over again. With most saying GGG was weight drained and still green.

I hope Mayweather retires, I do not want to see him fight with that defensive style he has, run, run, run ....... There is only 2 fighters that the public might buy another fight with Maywesther , rematch Manny or GGG. Floyd stay retired !!!!!

I'm not sure thinking comes into it, his spending habits are well documented. The "Bad Medina make-up line" isn't going to finance that lifestyle.

That doesn't mean he will fight again

                    Strange.

To me I think it's a very likely scenario.

floyd mayweather will be broke in 5 years if he stops fighting. i've never seen a multi millionaire with such a childish mentality about money.
