Ward vs Kovalev is a very competitive fight. If you are a Ward fan you have a responsibility to demand this fight.

I can't speak for all Ward fans but I don't think ANYONE in boxing is unbeatable , and frankly it's of my opinion that Ward actually gets hit more often than I'm comfortable with . Unlike some other Ward fans I'm very comfortable objectively analyzing wards strengths and weaknesses . But as far as u claiming that ward fans constantly assert delusions regarding his invincibility , I'd have to beg to differ , as I believe that Kov carries the greater aura of invincibility which usually accompanies big punchers . In my opinion Ward/Kov is a 50/50 fight , although I'll be rooting for Ward .

Like you said it's a 50/50 fight. Unlike other Kovalev fans, I don't think Ward is scared at all. Idk people think he is, they're going to look bad when the fight does happen.
I'm rooting for Kovalev not because he's Euro, some people want to make every situation about race, but because I'm a fan and I really don't like fighters that use dirty tactics (at least more than usual). I can't stand that type of fighting. Maybe you need to make it a little rough at times, but when you're constantly doing it.
If Adonis beats Sergey, I won't be mad at all because I actually like Stevenson's style. I don't care what anyone else says. I also don't care what he did in his past, nobody is perfect.
I'll be rooting for Artur when he faces Sergey as well.

As for the bold, I see more Ward fans saying nobody at 175 below could beat him or even touch him. It does go both ways though. Fans get to over excited and get butthurt when somebody criticizes they're favorite fighters.

Agree 100%! I think we have seen much more impressive work from Kov than ward to date. Ward had a good super6 then a short while later dissolved into the ether only to be seen on occasion facing 3rd tier opposition. Kovalevs reputation and market value has grown and grown and he's beaten a better fighter in BHop than the likes of Chad dawson and the other super6ers.....and he beat Hopkins with relative ease.....this is a fighter harder to hit and more cunning and experienced than Andre....oh well it will all be evident come fight night........I just hope sergeys fan friendly ko style beats Andres hit,headbutt,hold.

Yep. I'm sure Jackson will study every second of Ward's fights within the past 8-10 years and have Kov ready for any of Ward's usual antics. One thing for (almost) certain, it will be an entertaining fight. Just won't go Ward's way.

Chad Dawson beat Hopkins with ease too.. So? Kov is good but the only thing people talk about is his punch. That's how you know a fighter only has one tool in the tool box. Ward might not be a puncher, but he's the better fighter. He beat the very best at 168lbs, now you say he's fighting 'stiffs'?! Who was Kovs last opponent? Just curious.. Rodriguez, the fight before Smith, was the next best SMW.. Smith was a tune up after a layoff.

If you didn't observe Kov's boxing ability vs BHop you'll never appreciate his talents. He has a great trainer, he listens and follows instructions in near perfection, and Ward isn't the same Ward of 5 years ago.

Ward fans like to think he shuts out everybody, but he really doesn't. Abraham had success in the first half of the fight and was even out landing him. The Abraham jab was giving him trouble, the Kovalev jab is even better than that. Froch was the opposite of Abraham. I know Ward fans like to think he completely shut-out Froch, but Froch was coming on strong in the second half. Sakio Bika had success as well in an extremely dirty fight and landed like 200 punches on Ward.
Edwin Rodriguez was holding his own, until the referee threaten to DQ him.

Ward is not going to try to box like his fans think. There is no way Ward fights from the outside, he's going to want to hold and smother Kovalev. Kovalev is going to have to man-handle him when ever Ward gets close. Also, make sure it's not the same referee from the Edwin fight, because he'll threaten to DQ Kovalev while allowing Ward to continue with his dirty crap.

You hit on some great points. Boone, Froch and Kost and some others have staggered Ward. Nothing unusual there. Like you said, the key is a ref who won't allow Ward's dirty tactics.

Kovalev is bigger and hits harder than Froch. The difference in power between he and Ward would be critical.

All fruitless speculation anyhow. Ward will not fight Krusher
