Then is Bhop a moron too because he had no clue the shady things Schaefer was doing either? Bhop was and is an owner in the company too. Fact is when owners are on record saying they don't know the contract status of fighters or have answers to the questionable day to day dealings of the ceo that's a problem and a clear sign of corruption from the CEO. To date Schaefer has refused to give straight answers to his owners or fans when questioned about what was going on with fighter contracts that he was responsible for.

      Laughable

It is laughable to think that Schaefer was afraid of Oscar and went to him "shaking and nervous". Think about his background and track record. Oscar lied to the public and even his wife about EVERYTHING then came clean when caught and Richard has never lied about anything. Richard was always upfront with Oscar and if Oscar wants to continue to play the victim then so be it. No one knows the other side of that story - unless you were in the office. 2 sides to every story but Richard is too classy to say what went on. Can't wait till Schaefer is back in boxing.

Rich might not of had any fighters signed to multi deal contracts but he was promoting Haymons fighters exclusively. It's not like they were promoting out of the goodness of their hearts. They were getting paid.

Oscar is droppng the "poor me, i got taken advantage of" "feel sorry for me" and you are.

No sympathy from me. He is weak-minded.

I dont need andwers from Richard. Oscar unable to perform his duty as owner of company is all i need

When an owner has no idea whats going on then thats on him.

Not when you go from having everyone under contract to no contracts so that guy can take all your fighters away whenever he feels like it. That was Oscars beef his ceo was making arrangements that benefited a business partner more then his owner he worked for. That's the problem and why he was sued and why Oscar made 10s of millions in settlement. You don't get that paycheck if an arbitrator doesn't agree that the ceo was not working in company's best interest

Richard has never lied? Are you serious he's a slimy swiss banker acused of attempting takeover of Oscars company. And he doesn't give his side because he has no logical answer for why contracts for fighters were not renewed and instead steered to the man he had questionable working relationship with. What is Oscars motivation for saying a friend he hired to run his business tried to steal from him? His story about what Schaefer did has been consistent from day one yet nobody including Schaefer can explain what he was doing with fighter contracts he was paid to over see? Clearly Oscar is telling the truth the fighters were not under contract.

Golden Boy Promotions was built by Schaefer, not Oscar

Oscar has a very selective memory and fans are either uninformed of the formation of GBP or have selective memories also:

The first question Schaefer faced was how to build a business around De La Hoya; because at the time, Oscar didn't have a real business structure around him. That meant deciding which businesses they should be involved with. Boxing was at the top of their list.

Initially, Schaefer established Golden Boy Management and signed Jose Navarro to a managerial contract. Then, as he began learning the business, he realized that he and Oscar could accomplish more as promoters. Thus, in 2002, they purchased a boxing promotional company owned by Roy Engelbrecht
                    .

When Schaefer left investors and brain trust left with him:

In a deal recently completed, De La Hoya bought back Anschutz Entertainment Group's approximate 20 percent stake in the Los Angeles-based company and the approximate 12 percent of the company held by Gabriel Brener, a private investor and chairman and CEO of Brener International Group. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

AEG's involvement in Golden Boy was largely due to the close relationship between Beckerman, a boxing fan, and former Golden Boy chief executive Richard Schaefer, who resigned on June 2 after a falling out with De La Hoya.

                    http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/id...boy-promotions

Schaefer has done business with billion dollar Fortune 100 companies, Oscar has never ran a lemonade stand. If Richards vision for the company was not to sign fighter but instead promote fighters on a fight-by-fight basis I see nothing wrong with that. I, and investors & brain trust, trusted his vision over Oscars. Oscar can play the woe is me, he took all my fighters, card but the reality of the situation is Schaefer is responsible for the success of GBP, not Oscar. In the article Oscars say's he will work with anyone except PBC. Seems like Oscar is the problem. GBP has been reduced to co-promoting fights under Oscar. While Shaefer was CEO GBP was always lead promoter. HBO pressured Oscar into putting Lemieux in there with GGG in order to give their star a credible opponent to sell a PPV that should be a showcase fight. Schaefer would have had Lemiuex make a voluntary defense, then fight Canelo for the IBF title after he beats Cotto for the WBC title and then a voluntary defense and then GGG. Now GBP will go into negotiations with GGG from a position of weakness, just like the Cotto negotiations. Canelo has been part of one of the highest PPV's in history, pulled 2 million views on HBO, sold out a 30K stadium and he's negotiating with Cotto from position of weakness?

Speaking of Richard where the hell is he nowadays?
sounds more like he was in on it and got a cut from haymon, went MIA when oscar sobered up and looked at the papers

I'd take the "he was shaking and scared" blah blah with a grain of salt... He got out to limit liability
