"God this" and "God that". It has become a huge part of his persona, and clearly his lifestyle. But only when it suits him. Manny told us before the right that he wanted to" read the bible with Floyd after the fight". So that statement gave the appearance that Manny was a humble, well adjusted, man of God who understood this was just a sport. That God, and his word, supersede everything.

Well that turned out to be BS, Manny did not mention God, give him thanks, nothing of the sort. He was all about excuses after the fight, and alibis. He did not once mention "thanks god for keeping me and Floyd in your grace".

To me? Manny might be devout, and perhaps he is walking the life of a true Christian, but as a Christian myself, you have to thanks to God when things are good and bad. You don't preach his word, and judge people according to his teachings, if you don't observe those same principles yourself.

So Manny judging Floyd, and using Jesus Christ as some type of basis for his reasoning, only to turn around, and completely ignore the lord, and his blessings, after making $100 million plus dollars in the richest fight in boxing history was incredibly disappointing.

I think Manny was exposed as somewhat of a fraud. His entire disposition going into the fight was jesus related. He was the good guy.

But as it turns out, Manny is a hypocrite, once he lost the fight, he didn't feel the need to be religious. At that point, it didn't suit him.
are you serious? who cares either way whether Pacquiao thanked the imaginary man in the sky?

LOL you must be smoking. You're talking about one guy who's undefeated and schooled pac for 12 rounds and another who iced pac's career.

So many in here are narrow minded never seeing the big picture .

Isnt that supposed to be the projected Manny persona, or is his God thing only on a part time basis ?

One thing for sure they promoted him well with a very distorted public image from his real world .

Not before he robs him one last time tho.

Ive always thought Pac shouldve waited on his political career. With all his accomplishments and everything he had done for his ppl, it was always gonna be there. His ppl love him. I credit his political career to his slippage..moreso his dedication to the sport.

In all honesty, what more can Pac accomplish in the sport? At this point hes just trying to make as much money before he retires.

With his offensive style and the fact that he's been fighting since he was 16, 36 is definitely up there in years..and the accompanying wear and tear.

Awesome career, in his PRIME, a true prize fighter who fought to entertain his fans worldwide and to honor his country.

Former flyweight to hanging with the biggest welterweights out there... legendary

To put things in perspective, greats like Floyd, Pacquiao, JMM don't come along that often.

Try imagining if Nicolas Walters or Lomachenko ...at 126 can move all the way to 147 and have the same success...

Many guys find it tough to even move up 1 division. There are guys like Broner and Guerrero who definitely were successful moving up 2-3 divisions... but 147 is sort of a different level for these smaller fellas.

Floyd and Pac are both legends because they were able to move up and dominate all the way up to 147.

Manny has done it all and can retire now if he wants, a true gentleman and warrior. One more fight won't hurt though
