He shouldn't even be a congressman. Its a damn shame what the cult of celebrity is doing to the world. US has the Don and the Phillipines is willing to hand its control to a guy who barely shows up to his political job, has a 6th grade education and has been getting punched in the face for a living for the past 20 yearsComment

I was giving him the benefit of the doubt...the irony of him calling me an idiot while missing the joke was too perfect to be true.Comment

What a load of BS your post is. Manny did not thank God ONCE after the Floyd fight, NOT ONCE. He did not give thanks, he did not give his opponent respect, and he did not admit that perhaps he Floyd was the better fighter. Typically, when Manny wins, he "gives all praise to God". "God this" and "God that". It has become a huge part of his persona, and clearly his lifestyle. But only when it suits him. Manny told us before the right that he wanted to" read the bible with Floyd after the fight". So that statement gave the appearance that Manny was a humble, well adjusted, man of God who understood this was just a sport. That God, and his word, supersede everything. If I'm Pacquiao I consider retiring right now. Religion is the biggest part of his life, not boxing. I don't know how politically motivated he is these days, but from what I gather that's high on his agenda too. Don't get me started on the basketball. Now, Pacquiao can paper over the cracks by not fully committing to the sport because of his talent, but at any level you can't just take this game lightly, it's dangerous and you'll pay the price for it (you could argue he already has).
However if he decides to be fully committed, I'd take the Khan fight. A lot of revenue, I think a KO of Khan would put Pacquiao back in people's favour again, and remember why they loved him in the first place. Then maybe a farewell fight in the Philippines to wrap things up, the Filipino people deserve it.
I'd love Marquez V too, but I doubt that's realistic.
Well that turned out to be BS, Manny did not mention God, give him thanks, nothing of the sort. He was all about excuses after the fight, and alibis. He did not once mention "thanks god for keeping me and Floyd in your grace".
To me? Manny might be devout, and perhaps he is walking the life of a true Christian, but as a Christian myself, you have to thanks to God when things are good and bad. You don't preach his word, and judge people according to his teachings, if you don't observe those same principles yourself.
So Manny judging Floyd, and using Jesus Christ as some type of basis for his reasoning, only to turn around, and completely ignore the lord, and his blessings, after making $100 million plus dollars in the richest fight in boxing history was incredibly disappointing.
I think Manny was exposed as somewhat of a fraud. His entire disposition going into the fight was jesus related. He was the good guy.
But as it turns out, Manny is a hypocrite, once he lost the fight, he didn't feel the need to be religious. At that point, it didn't suit him.Last edited by Clubber Pac; 09-02-2015, 03:09 PM.Comment

Oh...I don't think failing to mention Jesus in the post-fight interview makes Manny a hypocrite. Manny was lost and disoriented and in a moment of weakness and delusion, failed to credit Jesus for his poor performance. I'm sure that Manny has since returned to the flock. It's a good thing the Lord is so darn forgiving!Comment

Mayweather is retiring and Pacquiao is almost as old as Mayweather. Pac has had a great career and made a ton of money and his speed and skills are slipping away. There is no good reason I can think of for him not to retire soon. He could knockout Khan as his going away present.Comment
