And Roach himself admitted it was their fault the fight didn't happen, stop trying to go back to this.
Margarito win for a title was not legit. but Hatton was the actual lineal champ. in fact, Pac's wins at 112, 122, 126, 130, and 140 were all against the best fighter in the weight class at the time.

The "destructive force" Manny chose not to fight in 2009 over PED testing (we now see why in the lead up and aftermath of the May 2nd fight) and chose to turn down $40 mil to take less to fight JMM a 4th time-the fight he got KTFO.

Perhaps had Manny shown a little spine-he was reluctant (afraid) to fight Zahir Raheem after he destroyed Morales and avoided Dimitry Salita (he was "too tall" at 5'11) but fought Margs at 151, who was also 5'11 but not "too tall" instead-and fought Floyd when he was prime he may have beaten Floyd.

There is a reason Manny avoided Floyd, Zahir and Salita-because fighters with a longer reach that know how to box have the tools to neutralize Manny's offense.

      Really nothing more to discuss.
      - i root for manny no matter what. maybe i let myself get too carried away by the hype. but the truth is that manny was far past his prime than floyd easily. while floyd still was the same coward from 2009/10.

      - manny was willing to negotiate the drug testing but floyd wouldn't. that's just the truth. and then floyd went on another "vacation" when talks were heating up in 2010.

      - and manny wanted to avenge his loss against morales. zahir raheem was a LIGHTWEIGHT at the time while manny was still competing at jr lightweight. i'm sure manny would have eventually fought zahir but raheem was irrelevant by the time manny moved up to 135. and yuri foreman not salita u dunce wasn't a big name compared to margarito. what had he accomplished in his career??? and what he accomplished afterwards??? margarito was still a dangerous fighter for the MUCH SMALLER manny on top of being a much bigger name.

      - floyd made excuses to not fight manny even after manny got ko'ed by saying he has bradley and marquez problems. i mean i could list the amount of excuses that floyd has personally made. it will definitely outnumber any excuse that manny has personally made.

Pacquiao was overhyped by the media after his fight with Dela Hoya,he got more credit for things that Floyd Mayweather already did just because the media hated Floyd Mayweather.

I admit though, Pacquiao's run till 130 lbs was remarkable, to me Pacquiao stopped fighting top opposition in 2008 after his fight with Marquez, his only legit opponents since then were Bradley and Mayweather

Is Mayweather better now? no doubt. "much better"? C'mon. even with Pac having regressed significantly more over the past 3-4 years, it was a 116-112 fight. If you don't think the fight would've been different in '09, you really have revionist history.

or maybe because manny did it better???? hahahahahaha give me a break. manny beat up dela hoya far better than floyd did, manny ko'ed hatton cold at hatton's best weight class (140), pac completely beat up the guy that floyd was avoiding (cotto).

in 2009, manny became the first 7 weight world champ, first 4 weight lineal champ, 3 time ring and BWAA fighter of the year. meanwhile floyd dragged marquez up TWO WEIGHT DIVISIONS FOR THE FIRST TIME. hahahahahahahahahahahaha

maybe if floyd didn't take that strategic "retirement" and fought and beat a prime cotto, prime margarito, prime pacquiao, paul williams, etc. he could be discussed as the best fighter of the 2000s. but he didn't.

Other than JMM, Pac's wins over the same opponents were all more impressive. no one can dispute that. Anyone that is going to say that Cotto and Hatton and even Clottey and Margarito at the time weren't "legit" fighters, that's actually laughable. there's a difference between being a top 5 lb 4 lb fighter and being a very good fighter

whats that got to do with manny not being on floyd level all these things about being a 8 weight classs champ none of that changes the fact that he couldnt even beat a shot 38 year old mayweather and yes all this talk about manny bein shot is ridiculous mayweather aint really been mayweather since marquez

Nah, the crescendo was the Cotto match. That was a terrific win for Manny. But yeah after that his opposition went south for a while.

If this is what you need to do to make yourself feel better, fine with me. Manny wasn't far past his prime when he turned the fight down either time.

BLah, blah blah you have no idea what Manny was thinking or willing to do. All we know is what he did-turned the fight down in his prime.

Thanks for the correction-yuri foreman. He was an actual 154lb champion whilst Margs was 0-1-1 at 154 when Manny fought him at 151 for the JMW title.

There is a reason Manny avoided Floyd, zahir and Yuri. I have a theory why. It may be wrong. What is clear is Manny avoided boxers who could fight from distance.

Manny turned down $40 mil (no ppv) to fight JMM a 4th time INSTEAD of fighting Floyd. That was the 3rd time in his rime that he avoided Floyd before he got KTFO in addition to walking away in 09 and unneeded stiches in 2012.

Its obvious Manny fought Floyd when he realized the fight earniings were at their peak. He never dared to face the best of his generation in his prime nor ever facing a true "stylistic nightmare" in Yuri or Zahir as he climbed divisions.

Is what it is. Manny controlled when he fought Floyd. He chose to wait.

Another Mayweather hater moving the goal post back after the fact. "I let myself get caught up." Lol way to justify all the sh.it you talked for months leading up to May 2nd. So scratch everything you said leading up to May 2nd what you really meant was what your saying now. I get it.
