Also Pacman was in his prime in 2009, but Mayweather dodged him then and dodged him for the next 6 years. Only offering Pacquiao offers he KNEW Pacquiao wouldn't accept, ie flat 40 million and nothing else.

Ferocious brawlers like Pacman, Tyson, Frazier, Marciano only have a short time in boxing. These type of fighters are almost over by their early 30's, never mind mid-late 30's. Mayweather knew this and dodged Pacquiao until Pacquiao got old. A slick, defensive boxer who doesn't go to war lasts a lot longer than the fighters I mentioned above.
He won an IBO at 140 and fought a WW who hadn't fought real comp in a year after being KO'd by Mosely, to win his belt at 154 (actually 150 because of the catch weight). He is really a 6 weight champ, still impressive, but still more hype than substance.

And Roach himself admitted it was their fault the fight didn't happen, stop trying to go back to this.

Look man if the only way you can accept the loss is to retroactively call Manny shot when you were confident he would win before the fight, so be it. I get it, take away from the victory by pretending Manny was done after the JMM KO. Not a big deal.

The "destructive force" Manny chose not to fight in 2009 over PED testing (we now see why in the lead up and aftermath of the May 2nd fight) and chose to turn down $40 mil to take less to fight JMM a 4th time-the fight he got KTFO.

Perhaps had Manny shown a little spine-he was reluctant (afraid) to fight Zahir Raheem after he destroyed Morales and avoided Dimitry Salita (he was "too tall" at 5'11) but fought Margs at 151, who was also 5'11 but not "too tall" instead-and fought Floyd when he was prime he may have beaten Floyd.

There is a reason Manny avoided Floyd, Zahir and Salita-because fighters with a longer reach that know how to box have the tools to neutralize Manny's offense.

        Really nothing more to discuss.

THE MEDIA DOUBTED MANNY MANY TIMES THROUGHOUT HIS CAREER!!!!! THEY SAID HE COULDN'T BEAT SASAKUL, HE COULDN'T BEAT LEDWABA, HE COULDN'T BEAT BARRERA, COULDN'T BEAT DELA HOYA, COULDN'T WIN WORLD TITLES IN 8 DIFFERENT WEIGHT CLASSES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MANNY HAD TO PROVE THE MEDIA WRONG TIME AND TIME AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IT WASN'T THE MEDIA THAT MADE PAC THE FIGHTER OF THE DECADE 2000-2009, IT WAS MANNY WHO HAD TO GET THAT HONOR!!!!!!!!!!! HE HAD TO SACRIFICE EVERYTHING TO BE GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The CWs and hand picking shot fighters gave him his titles from 140 up , never has a fighter manipulated weight like Manny did .

Manny was never only Floyds level but the ******s couldnt see it lol .

no. of course not. 1st fighter ever to win titles in 8 weight classes, 1st fighter ever to win lineal championships in 4 weight classes. KOs over huge favorites Ledwaba and Barrera to win titles at 122 and 126. KOs over Morales, Cotto, Hatton. even de la Hoya was a 2-1 favorite, so in hindsight everyone can say he was washed up, but 1 year earlier he gave Floyd everything he could handle. definite Media creation !!! lol

They are both good fighters. One is more technically sound, the other is more unorthodox. That's pretty much it.
