he actually doesnt..beatin lomo on hbo doesnt mean hbo is going to take him back they proved that when the kickd him off the air for after beating nonito...now if hbo promised the winner a 3 fight deal and if he didnt have better ont he table i'd say yess he probably does need to take this fightComment

I truly hope this occurs... People claim he is wasting time and unfortunately he is. Unlike Ward, I feel Rigondeaux truly wants to fight every big name he can face but is truly the most Avoided fighter currently! I hope he signs with Haymon, opening up doors to more fights with some big names. I personally see him beating Mares, Framton,Quigg, and Santa Cruz. Plus Donaire a second time or Lomachenko with ease.Comment

Nah. He needs to fight someone notable for sure, but Loma is just one of the possible options. Rigo's career is burning daylight & he's in his mid 30's & won't have fought in 11 months if he sticks to this November return plan. He needs to do SOMETHING notable.Comment

Agreed and exactly why signing with Haymon is his best option.Comment

Rigondeaux will be 35 next month, no time to be sitting on the sideline waiting to get out of a deal. Roc Nation, PBC, who ever he signs with who cares he just needs to get active right away. Even if he has to fight as a Free Agents and take some fights overseas he needs to do that instead of just sitting around waiting for his contract to end
Want to see him on PBC though because that is where the big fights are for him! Would love to see him make his PBC debut on that Lara Card in Miami in November, that would be great for him!Comment

cool story bro, You cant be more wrong even if you tried.ward was 172 vs dawson..dawson was 180plus...u're 100% wrong here..ward in the ams only fought at a bigger weight so dirrell could win gold below him..ward walks around at 185...ggg is at a 30 day weigh in at 173lbs..that means he had 26 days to train and he still was 13lbs off 160..they both a walkin around the 183 mark with ward being the heavier...it is a very even fight i've done all the numbers
Ward-Dawson was the only fight ward was below 180, he was 178.
Doesnt matter why he fought what matters is that he won gold so why go lower in weight? the only reason comes to mind is that he needed size advantage over smaller men.
Ward walks around at 190, even at 185 he is 15lbs heavier than GGG, who walks around at 170. GGG was 165 at 30 day in his last 3 fights.
Its only even at 164, I am 100% sure that if the situations were reversed like loma-rigo for example then you would not want GGG to have a considerable size advantage over ward, right?
re-do the numbers mate, thay aint right
GGG 165, 30 day weigh ins

Gennady Golovkin and Marco Antonio Rubio are both well within schedule to make weight ahead of their middleweight title fight showdown, October 18 at StubHub Center in Carson, California. Both fighters were required to check in at the 30-day mark, as per the terms of the World Boxing Council (WBC), as Rubio is the organization's recognized interim titlist. Golovkin tipped the scales at 165 lb; Rubio checked in at 174.5 lb. The maximum limit for the 30-day point is 176 lb., or 10% over the limit of the weight class for which the title is at stake.
GGG walk-around weight 170 max
