I'm sure this isn't totally true. I'd imagine it would be hard for someone to be on a 20KO streak and get all this public attention and not have somewhat of a big head about it. I wouldn't be shocked if he fully believes he could beat Ward.

Nevertheless, I'm also sure that he's hoping for a Canelo showdown in 2016, as well as beating whoever is left of the MW division to have the titles (probably Andy Lee).

Except they fight in the same division. Catch weights are designed to get fights done between guys in different weight classes. i can't believe people keep saying this as if it's the same thing.

I don't think he is, I know he is. GGG is far better than Khan, but Khan is more popular (or infamous) than GGG and also has the better resume. But lately Khan's refusal to fight anybody good while waiting for Floyd to pick him is the same as what GGG and his handlers are doing.

And are you really asking if Khan is more popular than GGG? Non boxing fans I speak to know Khan. I didn't even realize that there was actually a debate about that. Khan is like the 7th most popular boxer in the world. I'm confused at your question, it seems like GGG is the second coming of The Golden Boy. GGG is better, not more popular. Kev , please try and use some common sense , how is GGG and Khan doing the same? name me ONE boxer in GGG division that he said no to , he is trying to unify fighting the champs (Lee , now LD) , sure he wants money fights vs Cotto/canelo , but while waiting for his shot he won the mandatory for them (no need to beg for it) and is trying to fight other champions , while Khan is waiting for floyd and avoids everything else.....
currently Khan is probably more popular but if the PPV does well then its GGG time to shine.
only blame GGG has (which is dumb if you think about it really) is not going up a division to fight a guy coming off from a layoff of 2 years which isnt a star.... thats it.

Cotto will head to LMW after this fight if he wins. In his own words, he's not a middleweight and the pressure will be too much to keep pretending he is. GGG will be elevated to full WBC status and give back the belt the right credibility.

Sooo much for these so called "PLENTIFUL" options of GGG . I've constantly warned GGG's bonehead fans about pretending that GGG's options were so plentiful while simultaneously pretending Wards r all dried up ! Cotto won't fight him while Oscar/Canelo have already issued press statements with similar verbiage . Now where does this leave GGG ? He has two options after this current fight 1) go back to his slew of ready made cans or 2) check himself into the PSYCH-WARD !

Looks like Wards and GGG's options are comparable to me !
