I don't blame Cotto, this g boy is being all hyped up fighting bums while Cotto has been through it all the hard way. Cotto has been robbed and used by TOP RANK management, and now just when he has gotten to the point where he calls the shots he's doing the right thing. Have this g boy fight some serious competition instead of putting up this smokescreen claiming how everybody is ducking him. Seem to me he wants to make a name off of lesser quality opponents and get a huge payday. Not going to happen g boy, so start fighting tougher competition and then maybe Cotto will talk. But I'm betting his PPV numbers will be a laughing stock. He might get 2k bht I seriously doubt it. ..

I don't think he is, I know he is. GGG is far better than Khan, but Khan is more popular (or infamous) than GGG and also has the better resume. But lately Khan's refusal to fight anybody good while waiting for Floyd to pick him is the same as what GGG and his handlers are doing.

And are you really asking if Khan is more popular than GGG? Non boxing fans I speak to know Khan. I didn't even realize that there was actually a debate about that. The title for this thread is so missleading, I'm disappointed. Cotto didn't say anything about not wanting to fight the winner of GGG/Lem, nor did he hint that he wouldn't fight the winner. He basically said he's his own boss and nobody tells him what to do.

Andy Lee wasn't WBO champion at that time, let alone positioned with big money fights with Chris Eubank Jr and the Jacobs-Quillin winner, while also being a ~$1m minimum fighter at this point (last PBC purse was $500k, and that number didn't reflect any money that he picked up from the UK broadcast).

Don't waist your time bro, the amount of idiots on this forum is incredible. We all read the same article and these guys came to the conclusion that Cotto is scared a coward who will never fight GGG, we read the same article and what we have concluded is that no body will tell Cotto what to do because he is his own man. He will do what benefits him and his family ($$$$$$) the most and as you stated if GGG'S PPV does well we can expected a money making mega fight between GGG and Cotto next. If and when he beats Canelo.

This I agree with...it's the answer Cotto always gives regardless...the man is just stating his position in general. Honestly Cotto has shown balls by taking on everyone so far, no need to take this interview out of context. Catchweight or not, he is the lineal champ whether we like it or not.
