So you're saying every "true great" obliterated his opponent? ?? That is completely false and speaks to the bias floyd receive. There are plenty of greats that got obliterated does that diminish their greatness? ?? Tommy Hearns (who I actually don't like because he stole a girl from me. But what could I do? Beat him up?) Obliterated hands of stone. Does that mean Durans detractors have a point??? you can list multiple boxers that didn't "obliterate" their opponent and still have and deserve a lofty position in boxing history.Doesn't matter how he feels. People saw a clearly inept fighter in front of Floyd and the best he could do was land a few punches per round. A true great would have seized the moment and obliterated his opponent. That's why he'll always have his detractors. It's a microcosm of his career.Comment

Duran himself didn't "obliterate" Leonard, it was a very close fight, he lost the rematch, got KOed by Hearns and lost to Hagler. Does that make him less of a fighter? So you're saying every "true great" obliterated his opponent? ?? That is completely false and speaks to the bias floyd receive. Go watch Holyfield vs Lewis, imo this was a more boring fight that Mayweather Pacquiao, with a lot of clinching and holding, these 2 were not really washed up at the time and this was expected to be the best fight in heavyweight history, but both guys played it safe, does anybody criticize them now for it?Comment

That would have been a monster fight! Floyd takes away his opponents best weapons but tommy was a master boxer whose incredible power caused fans to forget his high skill set. Would have loved to see if hearns educated jab could set up that vicious right cross. Imo hearns only Achilles heel was his defense. He took too many unnecessary shots. But Tommy was spectacular and I laughed until I vomited at some pac fans saying pac would beat Tommy and Durand. Stop drinking the salt water.Comment

Agree 100% history is full of fights that didn't live up to it's billing. But the sharp criticism is only reserved for floyd. Holyfield led with his cheating head in that fight as usual.Duran himself didn't "obliterate" Leonard, it was a very close fight, he lost the rematch, got KOed by Hearns and lost to Hagler. Does that make him less of a fighter?

Good post!!!!!!!!!!!!Floyd is wrong to even mention the obvious. Floyd made manny look ******. I made money on that fight, as I often do. I bet with my mind, not my heart. Pac fans are devout, I don't like Floyd jr, I don't dislike Floyd.
Same with pacman. I love boxing. Let the best man win. The rules of boxing apply to both combatants. I love boxing. There are pure punchers, boxer-punchers, and boxers. To expect Floyd jr to go toe to toe, when there is no rule demanding this type of boxing is a very limited view point. Boxing is a dance, footwork, positioning, distance, timing, offense and defense. Plus many other variables, conditioning, heart, mind, distractions, trying to please fans and promoters, too many!
Floyd made manny look less great. Manny made himself look less great than Floyd made him look. Floyd did not make manny hide his "injury"
Many was gracious when he lost to bradly, he said I did my best, I think I won, but these things happen, this is boxing. But in his defeat to Floyd he did the excuse thing, which I hate. Floyd did it to when he fought Castillo in their first fight. I am a boxing lover! I fought as a kid. The best man should always win.
Let's see how other boxing lovers feel About this postComment

Special substances, vampire facials, headlocks, bear hugs, arm bars, spies in camp, paid off sparring partners........yeah Floyd, no one should blame you for anything at all.Floyd Mayweather Jr. reiterated during an interview with Showtime’s Jim Gray on Friday night that Manny Pacquiao is the fighter to blame for the most lucrative event in boxing history failing to satisfy fans who wanted much more action.

Face it man, Berto is a joke and your success ended after the Pac fight. You know it, we all know it. The only thing that kept your career going the past 5 years was the idea that you were fighting Pac.Comment

That's because Floyd calls himself "TBE" and the bottom line is "TBE" should be held to the highest standards. He knows this and he still schit the bed.Comment

Even if someone wastes all their stamina going all out vs Floyd he just goes into a shell till you stop like vs Maidana, he didn't do anything in the first half of that fight but defend till Maidana tired, in the second fight he just ran and hugged, and it's the strategy he came out for Pacquiao, and Pacquiao doesn't have the youth to fight like Maidana just rushing forward and swinging away. It's mainly Mayweather's fault, but Pacquiao is also to blame as he came in with a shoulder injury.
What were all the exciting moments in this fight? All Pacquiao moments, and you're gonna tell me it's all his fault it was uneventful as all ***.Comment
