He has a belt but his resume is a joke, there's only 1 name on it that you give any credit for beating.

This French guy coming off a win against Charr is a better opponent than we usually get from Wilder. If it wasn't for his belt, that's the level Wilder belongs at at the moment.
This is irrelevant to the point I was making. Duhaupas having given some issues to people like Pianeta, Teper, and Charr doesn't suggest that he's dangerous against everyone and that no one would have an easy night against him, like the post I was responding to suggested.

It shows how weak Wilder's resume is for a major title holder generally ranked in the top 5 of his division when someone who already fell short at EBU level twice and has no wins of note other than an MD over Charr will be one of his best opponents. Even the Charr win doesn't look so hot now that Briedis KTFO'd him.

I don't have to "defend" Wilder. He's the WBC champ. I seriously doubt he gives one iota of a s*** what NSB posters have to say.

I'm simply pointing out the double standards NSB posters often display..

This has gotta be the lamest excuse I've heard in awhile. Teber fought in July and smoked his opponent in two rounds in a fight where he didn't sustain any damage. Teber was in good shape and could have easily got back into training camp to be ready for a late September fight. If anything, the short turnaround time would be beneficial to him since he was in a good shape and riding momentum from the Price KO.

And now you're going to that lame cop out post, "he doesn't care about some poster on the internet therefor your opinion is irrelevant". NSB is a place where us boxing fans talk to each other.

He certainly doesn't have to care about what NSB thinks about his opponent. Only it doesn't stop here man, look at Facebook, twitter and any other social media outlet - everywhere this fight has been discussed it gets trashed. People have wised up to Team Wilder and their ways. I had no problem with it early in his career since he didn't have much of an amateur background, but as you pointed out he's a CHAMPION. These types of fights are unacceptable. If you're cool with champions fighting guys not even ranked top 30, that's on you. Personally I want some accountability here in our sport, champions at the very least should be defending against top 15 guys. And it's not like there is any shortage of decent opponents to choose from that wouldn't pose much of a threat. This is just bad matchmaking. It makes no sense at all. Nothing wrong with being critical of it.

Povetkin was only the WBA "regular" champion.

Nobody gives a shit who fights for those psuedo titles.

So I'd like to call bull**** on anybody saying the above.

Feel free to post a link though.

Comparing Povetkin's record with Wilder's isn't going to get you anywhere either. The Russian has faced much better opposition, more often and in fewer pro fights.

And I'm saying you probably weren't here fighter bashing when GGG fights Willie Monroe Jr. or when Canelo fought Kirkland, Gotto-Geale etc. or any number of "champions" take soft touch fights to stay busy and tune up for the big fights.

When Wilder behaves the same as every other fighter in the sport, "OMG, BOXING IS BEING RUINED!!!!" It's pathetic and I don't need to take it seriously. And twitter posts?? Are you serious? These are the same clowns who call out Wilder for "ducking" Lucas Browne, who just about lost to a guy who had lost 10 of his last 11 fighting on short notice. These people know jack s*** about what's going on..

I guess when a guy is labelled the saviour of the heavyweight division being put on a pedestal like that more is expected of you than just fighting the molina's of this world.
