Kell Brook is probably the toughest out at welter..

Not the best, but he has the capabilities to beat anyone at welter..

The only danger Brook poses is to injuring himself.

You couldn't name 3 fighters in the division who could beat him right now.

Pacquiao, Bradley, a fit and in shape Maidana and possibly Khan.

Against Maidana and Khan, Brook has a great chance, especially in terms of his power.

Now, with my post, you probably thought I dislike Brook, which I don't, I'm actually a fan but he is far too injury prone. I've followed almost the entirety of his career, from undercards to main events at the MEN and at times he really has looked special and at other times, very pedestrian. When a fighter is so inconsistent, that maybe reveals a bit about his physical condition and his mental state.

I'm not sure how dedicated Brook his and I know for a fact his body doesn't always hold up. The Chaves fight was supposed to be his big fight this year, he got injured. Alexander was supposed to be his title shot, he got injured...twice. Outside of Porter, Brook's resume is very thin but because of that title, I have no problems in ranking him as a top 5 WW but he has to start proving it at some point.

Maidana and Bradley can beat him, I agree with that, but Maidana may/may not return to the same division, though I hope he does. Pac wouldn't hear the final bell, not at this stage in his career, Brook would give him Berto-esque alien eyes.

And with your analysis, you are forgetting one thing, fighters can improve and gain more experience as their career continues, which is always a positive thing as it contributes to ring IQ, knowledge of the sport, and exposure to different styles and situations. Brook is a better fighter than early in his career, and the way he undressed a hungry lion in Porter shows he can be successful at the elite level.

Pac isn't the fighter he once was, he is slower, and has lost his killer instinct. His chin is also cracked. Brook is an accurate puncher with a granite chin, and good defensively.
