It's Taylor. RJJ was faster all around but pure hand speed goes to Taylor. P4P I'd back Ali, Mike Tyson and Floyd Patterson had faster combinations but their hands were way shorter.

Sugar Ray Robinson. Speed is what he was know for and his first 130 fights or so attest to that...

I'm sure there were fighters in the 1930s and 40s that were incredibly fast, but it's hard to compare to the moderns because the film footage was poor.

Roy Jones, Meldrick Taylor, and others born into our era of high technology, we can capture their speed clearly on film.

It's scary when a guy's punches look regular speed in slow motion.

Dokes was definitely one of the fastest heavyweights ever in his prime.

If he was correctly managed and trained and matched at his best weight he should never have lost a fight.
Yeah those where the good old days mostly. He never had a real top tier trainer, but the moment he went with having no trainer and going up for no damn good reason he fkd himself up. He still doing the same trainer wise so probably he's about to get axed. Khan is up there too, probably as fast but the power isn't quite the same. Both of them in the Olympics where ******ly fast.

There are so many other guys as well, but it's hard to say definitely who was the best most effective fastest puncher since it happens so damn fast.
