Unless you count powerless slappers, nobody compares with Roy Jones Jr. I'm not his biggest fan, but he was on a different level when it came to hand speed.

Gamboa, and before anyone says frikking GRJ remember we talking about punches here not whatever he throws.

The highlights are sad they show quite clearly how at his weight his punch was not only blindinly fast but also strong then as he moved up chasing butterflies it just looses that thumping effect. Without that and a trainer his knockout was inevitable.

Camacho, RJJ, and Taylor are my top three and pretty much equal in my eyes - just levels there. I'll give Pac some love too.

                Slappy punches need not apply

Hearns had very fast hands for a fighter his size. His hands seemed a bit faster than Leonard's hands. Meldrick Taylor had very fast hands. Pacquiao in his prime had great hand speed and he is still fast. Rigo and Lomo have very fast hands as did Roy Jones. Sorry, but I can't pick just one fighter. Khan is fast but I don't think he is as fast as he and his fans claim him to be. I left out dozens of fighters with very fast hands.
