Cmon man, stop bull****ting. Always made up numbers, and you didn't even realize any bid would have to pay Kovalev purse. Like I said, zero credibility

I'm telling you it was far from that number. HBO could have made the deal with us before we got an offer from Showtime. Everybody is saying that it's a great, great fight and I agree, but I also agree that it probably had not matured enough because HBO was not willing to pay the value of what they were paying for other fights on the network. It was always that point that Adonis was bringing to me, that Rodriguez made a million dollars and Ward made two millions dollars and what we were offered for the [Kovalev] fight - it was not close to that.
Last year's HBO doubleheader with Stevenson and Kovalev had higher ratings numbers than Ward-Rodriguez. Stevenson-Bellew had 1,305,000 viewers and peaked at 1,358,000 viewers. Kovalev's KO win over Ismayl Sillakh had 1,254,000 viewers. The license fee offered by HBO for Stevenson-Kovalev was closer to $2 million than $3 million.

The rodriguez fight happened because HBO rejected all the scrubs Ward was suggesting to them. and what does Arum have to do with Haymon? Two completely different situations. Same for Canelo and HBO, not the same. And Oscar didn't want the Lara fight. It happened because Canelo has balls unlike Adonis and made Oscar make the fight.

It appears to be a mere formality, but Sergey Kovalev’s representatives and HBO Sports executives must come to terms on a new contract if the undefeated light heavyweight champion is to continue fighting exclusively on that premium cable channel.
The multi-fight contract Kovalev signed with HBO several days before beating Cedric Agnew last March 29 in Atlantic City expired following Kovalev’s impressive eighth-round technical knockout win over Quebec’s Jean Pascal (29-3-1, 17 KOs, 1 NC) on Saturday night in Montreal. Main Events chief executive officer Kathy Duva, whose company promotes Kovalev (27-0-1, 24 KOs), has been discussing a new contract with HBO Sports brass and fully expects the network’s successful partnership with the Russian knockout artist to continue.

Adonis Stevenson accepted the offer of Showtime, on 03/25/2014.
And Before Kovalev fought Agnew on 03/29/2015, Team Duva agree to sign Kovalev under his first deal with HBO. So in fact, Kovalev signed his deal with HBO (AFTER) Stevenson went to Showtime, I didn't say before, I said Kovalev signed AFTER.
And now that Haymon manage to open more options for all boxers, Kovalev re-signed another contract with HBO on 05/20/2015, (AFTER) the WBC purse bid on 04/17/2015, which clearly show how team Kovalev were bluffing all along about their will to fight Stevenson. Not to mention that team Kovalev also rejected the secondary WBC purse bid, on 05/29/2015.

*You can't disagree with those facts, which simply show how Kovalev is ducking.

Alright so back then they were offering around 2.5n, not 1m as Stevenson's boosters said repeatedly. Kov was making peanuts then, so Stevenson gets 2m from HBO and much more from Canada Ppv and the gate.

It says right there they were discussing the contract for a while, didn't come out of nowhere. I'm sure they told him, go fight Stevenson on Showtime if you want, but then you're on your own.

Bud, nobody believes Kovalev is ducking Aduckis Chickenson. He's always welcome to fight Kov on HBO, but he won't cause Kov is not a bum

Hold on, Kovalev ducked the purse-bid BEFORE he signed the HBO deal.

Good luck ducking a purse-bid, signing an exclusive network contract.....
and then trying to insinuate that you really want to fight.

In his reply to me, Hero seemed to forget that the ducked purse-bid happened BEFORE Kovalev signed his HBO deal

Kovalev fans simply do not get to call Stevenson a duck.

I'm not into that coward/ducker rubbish, but if anyone avoided that fight it certainly wasn't Stevenson.

The pathetic coward Stevenson needs to grow some balls and stop ducking the best light heavyweight in the world Sergey Kovalev

Kovalev easily destroys the piece of shit Stevenson
