Whats your point though? You think Oscar was fresh? 34 going on 35, with a whole career of big fights against the best fighters under his belt?
Oscar was faster and harder hitting at 135 also...
So I dont really see your point about mayweather not being prime... because I dont know what that would make oscar.
Unless you think Floyd is immortal
Bob arum prevented it from happening
Soon as both were independent they fought ASAPComment

Oscar LOST 9 rounds to 3, to Floyd. But beat Pernell, 7 - 5, in my opinion. The Pernell Whitaker fight was razor thin close. Pernell didn't make Oscar pay enough for missing.Comment

He has a better resume than both @ ww and sww
Floyd also has more defenses n beat more top ten welterweights than they did @ 154 he faced the best in the division each time thereComment

But on a similar note.....
Check out Hoya's resume overall..... fcuk me, that dude fought everyone.Comment

you do realize a lot of the guys you named were natural welterweights or higher and these weights were their best weights....Mayweather didn't get to WW til he was 28-29 and it was his 4th weight class...
Floyd started as a pro between 126-130 so if youre gonna mythically match him try letting it be a prime Floyd, at his best weights.....130-140....Floyd was almost 30 when he moved to 147 and it was his 4th weight class
Its like saying Nonito Donaire would have never had the balls to face Sandy Saddler, Willie Pep, or Naseem Hamed knowning Darn well 126 was never Nonito's best weight and 5th weight...stuff like this never made sense to meComment
