I see most guys who were saying he's ducking the fight have ducked this thread. Very convenient.
Thurman ducking Porter?

The Porters are begging for a Danny fight.
Interesting what Kenny says from 2.55 onwards, he pretty much confirms Thurman would take the fight but they are chasing Danny.Comment

According to the duck people he is I'm sure. If he fights Khan he's ducking Porter. If he fights Maidana he's ducking Khan. If he fights Porter he's ducking Khan & Maidana. The ducking game is like that lame joke some adult would pull on you as a child, "heads I win, tails you lose", its a no win situation once you get pulled into it.Comment

Spot on. The IQ level on here is extremely low.According to the duck people he is I'm sure. If he fights Khan he's ducking Porter. If he fights Maidana he's ducking Khan. That Porter vid, he's like, "sure I'll offer to take the Garcia fight for short money 'cause I know Garcia won't accept it"? Or that's' what it sounded like to me. So who is Porter trying to fight then?
As far as Thurman, I can understand he wants to make some big money now and feels like he's earned it, but if he can't get the upper guys (Porter, Brook,Khan,Floyd,Bradley,Pacman,etc...), go ahead and take the Spence fight, but just ask for the money that makes the risk (and obviously he feels there's some risk there if "deserves" is coming into it) reasonable. If Camp Spence won't take the short money, then he's not being reasonable and One-Time can tell him (and by proxy, Floyd) to go pound sand with a clean conscience.
That said, after writing this too-long, kinda' off-topic post, seems like Thurman is the least guilty of the bunch. And probly Bradley.
I dunno'... looks to me like too many guys worried a loss will totally derail their career, but I'm not seeing it and we (the fans) are suffering because of it.
When an upper guy loses, we (the fans) generally keep the faith and want to see them make the comeback. They just hafta climb back up the ladder a little bit and if they were really all that, one loss usually doesn't cost them too many rungs.Comment

So who is lying here is the real question?
Is thurman lying about accepting the fight 3 times when not even 1 legitmate source has even stated he has been offered that fight?Comment

If you're a good judge of character you know Thurman ain't really the type to lie about something like this.
Porter's team publicly declined an offer to fight Thurman when Shawn was IBF champ, I remember Scaeffer and Kenny confirming it. Kenny said it would be a much bigger fight in the future etc.
I think both guys would fight eachother, but Porter's team clearly prefer a Garcia fight, Thurman is probably the back up plan.Comment
