Damn take the money and take on the 2nd most corrupt boxing nation?
Seems like deontay is going to have to trade his belt for the money no way he gets a decision there

Wilder will get KO'd so there will be no worries there.

I don't see anymore bad decisions in Russia than I see anywhere else. I think the most likely outcome is a KO here anyway. Wilder should definitely get some PED testing happening doe.

It might not even go to purse bid. I am sure there will be some hot and heavy negotiating before it comes to that point.

Both guys will get paid no matter what happens and the fight could still be in America.

The billionaires behind Ryabinsky while not frugal with their money they most likely want to do something that makes financial sense.

At the end of the day, people want to make money off a business venture.

Hey I'm all for the guy being able to do that, and the Pov fight is THE fight to make that happen. If he has to go thru Povetkin to get to Wlad, he'll never get to Wlad anyway. So this is THE opportunity knocking. Go to Russia, go to Egypt, go to he!! for that matter... but the guy HAS to take this fight. Step up and take your medicine Wilder. Just keep thinking of your daughter as you're getting mercilessly pummeled by Steamroller Pov.

Based on what? The only fighter Povetkin has fought that was remotely similar to Wilder was Wlad and look how that turned out

wilder doesnt know how to thwart guys on the inside and he's never fought anyone with near the combination punching of povetkin. its wilder thats the underdog here. he looks so confused and off balance when being attacked and povetkin will be attacking him like hes never been attacked before. all these soft touches are going to come back to haunt wilder. I blame his management more than him. they havent prepared him well at all

A few of those fast right hands were close to hitting Wlad and I don't believe Wilder has the same innate danger sense and timing that Wlad has.

I don't see Wilder vacating willingly, but Areola is in his sights. I have no doubt his name will come up.

First off I'm sure Wilder believes he wins the fight & second there is a level of talent everyone would fight for enough money & I think its very safe to assume 8 digits is within Wilder's fight anyone range. I mean how many fights can Wilder even make 8 digits for? This payday would be some long term career payday goal ffs.
Wilder-Povetkin, Wilder-Klitschko and, with continued build up and time, Wilder-Joshua are the only fights that come to mind for me (Wilder-Fury, if Tyson is able to pull off the upset, which I doubt, would also make the cut).

Beyond that, the only real issues behind traveling, which people on here seem to believe is the hang up, are the official judges for the fight; Team Wilder, being sharp, isn't going to let anything jeopardize a fair judging for Wilder.
