Can we agree in the last 5 years Floyd has been on a tear

  • Yes we can.

Can we agree that he did it by ducking and grabbing, missing then pushing the head?

Could he have done it without these tricks and by just fighting fair like a great fighter instead of a fraud protected by judges, Las Vegas, internet websites like Floydhype and paid posters?

    • The tags on this thread...lol.

Larry, why not give this Floyd stuff a rest. You have your opinion, everyone else has theirs, you're not going to change anyone's opinion. In fact, you're more likely to entrench them in the opposite direction.

Making threads about Floyd all the time, or covertly indirectly making threads about Floyd is not being a boxing fan, it's being a man-fan. There surely has to be more to your interest in the sport.

            • It's been a good run with the Pacquiao win in there.

The Rings p4p list has been a joke since Golden Boy took over. Both Canelo and Guerrero just magically appeared on the top ten list when talk of a Mayweather fight started. Neither deserved a top ten ranking at the time (Canelo only fought one decent opponent which was against Trout in a fight that Canelo didn't particularly look good in and was closer than the open scoring suggested) and Guerrero had only beat Berto and Selcuk Aydin).

I would rank the wins as:
              Pacquiao
              Mosley
              Cotto
              Maidana
              Canelo*
              Guerrero
              Ortiz

*I rank Canelo lower than Maidana because of his lack of experience at that time. I think the win probably is better now being that he went on to beat Lara, Angulo and Kirkland. He's more proven now. When he fought Floyd he was just a young undeserving ginger.

Roman Gonzalez but that is not the point, the question is has Floyd gone on a tear and I answered no. he is the Number One attraction in the sport he can fight literally anybody from 160 (dudes will come down) to 140 (dudes will come up) and instead we get Manny 5 year too late, Andre freakin Berto, Victor Ortiz and Robert Guerrero. Canelo was always gonna bee too green for Floyd that fight came too soon for Cinnamon and I give Floyd credit for a nice win over Cotto. Maidana, God bless his soul is a guy that should be taking part in tough man contents and he gave Floyd one and a half decent scraps.

This to me does not constitute 'going on a tear' especially when I put it next to some of the more historical 'tears' in the sport.

I think the last 5 years for Floyd have been 'solid' if unspectacular. You clearly see it differently and that's OK but no amount of stats thrown in my face is gonna change my mind.
