Because of casuals, especially in the pac-may fight
Loooool. Yeah, you're definitely upset.

Even the most ardent of Mayweather supporters have to admit that "been on a tear" (lol) is hardly the most appropriate terminology for what he has done over the past 6 years

Extremely wishful thinking on your part.
The biggest PPV seller of all time, the greatest of his era and a long reigning P4P king isn't going to be forgotten. It's just extremely naive to think that.
Also, you didn't answer my question when you asked if any of the guys Floyd fights have belts at the time he fought them.
Is that a joke question or do you genuinely not know that every fight Floyd has had since Zab Judah (except Marquez and Guererro) were against legitimate reigning world champions?

On a tear beating up women? Or you mean in the ring? There wasnt one exciting Floyd fight that i remember in the last 5 years, so no, definetely not.
Pacquiao, Kovalev, GGG and Klitschko were on a tear, but little Floyd was just boring.

I'd say his last 5 years have been a mixed bag.
Mosley - Good win on his resume, but Mosley was close to 40 when he fought him so not many people will give him credit for it.
Ortiz - Turned out to be a B level fighter at best. Not exactly a good win when he's lost twice after to average fighters.
Cotto - Good win, but the fight should have happened a few years before it did. Also, it was probably one of Floyd's weakest performances of his career.
Guerrero - You can't really fault him for taking this fight when at the time of the fight every other big name had another fight going on. Decent win even though Guerrero isn't an A level fighter.
Alvarez - Mayweather beat him easily, but the catchweight does make Floyd look like a huge hypocrite when he says he fights everyone at their best weight prior to demanding the catchweight for this fight.
Maidana - First fight was really good, and I felt Mayweather did win 8-4. The second fight he beat him really easily. Good wins
Pacquiao - Mayweather deserves credit for the win, but of course there's always going to be what ifs no matter what since they should have fought 4 or 5 years before it happened. Neither fighter looked good at all in this fight.

Car froch has a comparable resume and was actually fighting the best of his time and weight. But he doesn't sell ppv here in the states. I am American but most Americans are legitimately ******. Ppv numbers in no way is a correlation to a fighter's greatness as a fighter. It is not. Most "fans" use it as a barometer for greatness though, like most guys do here. This is like saying the movie titanic is the greatest movie of all time because it sold the most. It is not.
