This is like saying the movie titanic is the greatest movie of all time because it sold the most. It is not.
No one said that PPV sales correlate to greatness.

I'm simply pointing out to you that the highest selling PPV star in the history of the sport will not be forgotten. And that's just one component as to why.

You'd have to be extremely naive to think otherwise.

You also ducked the question again.

He's had a more impressive run to me... He also beat down two undefeated fighters aside from the three I mentioned who could have gone on to have bigger careers before they were cut down by Krusher. Sylach (sp?) and Agnew. Floyd doesn't win impressively nowadays, he just wins. And he wins unsatisfyingly.

It's not being made up or hatred projected that May has sought a pre fight advantage in every fight worth mentioning in the last 5 years. Not only that, but he has a functional in-fight advantage in the ring as well because of the paradigm shift in commentary, reffing, and judging away from actual fighting to this game of tag, catch me if you can bs.

Case in point, I am confident that the First Castillo fight would have been commentated differently if it had magically happened this year. The reason for this is Floyd "what's worst about boxing" May has introduced a freakin paradigm shift that is fully in effect now that was only barely setting in back then.

Back then he just had the judges on board, now it's commentary, judging, AND reffing

As well as securing a significant pre fight advantage each fight out, unless his opponent is sufficiently horrible not to require it.

      Finito.

        Sillakh and Agnew??

Sillakh had already been sparked out before Kovalev fought him.

          • The reaching going on in this thread...hahahahaha. I'd rather ppl not comment at all if all they are gonna do is change the thread topic or deflect. U guys are certainly haters. And I don't even use that term often but there isn't even a more appropriate term.

Whether anyone likes it or not, no matter how much u hate him or try to discredit it, Floyd has the best resume within the last 5 years. Doesn't matter if his wins were boring, if u think he'll be forgotten, if didn't knock them out. None of it. All that matters are the people he fought and if he won or not. And in that case, his is clearly above all others.

Pacquiao shoulder injury, still didn't even beat him that convincingly put on a rather lackluster performance If anything.
You had Guerrero ranked top 10 p4p man

I'm going to guess you mean Caparello.

So Caparello, Sillakh and Agnew. These are elite opponents in your eyes?

No they are icing on the cake of what has been a magnificent run. Kovalev only turned pro in what? 2009?

Is it not true that Kovalev has been winning in more impressive fashion than Floyd has since the lower weight classes?

P4p lists and resume comparing is all merely conjecture. As for who has been winning more impressively, that's Kovalev.
