Mayweather has been the number 1 fighter in the world for several years. He should be held to a higher standard than your average fighter.
Cotto, Mosley and Pacquaio weren't prime but they were all still elite fighters in the sport.

Cotto was #1 at 154, Mosley was #2 at WW and #3 P4P, Pacquaio was #2 WW and #3 P4P.

Alexander Povetkin (First man to take his 0)
Bryant Jennings (Another up and coming fighter who's 0 was took)
      David Haye
      Tony Thompson

All guys much bigger (in terms of division rating) and by far more dangerous also pointer to add they were fought as soon as possible the wait for these fights weren't anywhere near as long as the time it took Floyd to fight Shane, Pacquiao and so on that and the fact Wladimir didn't avoid names.

AND now he is fighting the another guy who is unbeaten and has been on a great run of form.

I don't really read into that. The timing of all of those fights was disappointing for a fighter of Mayweather's calibre.

Cotto was badly beaten up twice before Mayweather fought him and the fight could have taken place earlier.

Pacquaio was knocked out cold for 5 minutes by Marquez. The fight could have taken place earlier.

Mosley was out about 16 months before Mayweather finally decided to fight him. Took a natural disaster in Haiti for it to happen.

It didn't "take a natural disaster" for it to happen. When could the Mosley fight have happened sooner? People were begging for it In the Marquez post fight and it happened as soon as it could following that.

Pacquaio obviously was one of the best fighters in the world when they fought. Past prime or not.

Cotto you have a point with but he's still a top fighter to this day.

Lmfao at this fool giving him props for Canelo at a CW
JMM jumping 2 weight classes only o get cheated on the scales
-you Floyd ballwashers swear he walks around at 150 but he couldn't lose 6 fawking pounds to make weight
                And Robert fawking Guerrero? Really

I'll put it to you like this
                Zero tear
                Carefully cherry picked fights
And let's say PAC would have beaten Floyd he would get very little praise from me cause the damn fight was 5 years too late

If you had the opportunity to pick a fighter from 140-154 that Floyd hadn't fought in the last 5 years to face Floyd who would have gone with?

The only guy that stands out to me is Lara because he such a difficult fighter to face and I think style wise the only guy that could beat Floyd at the moment (it would be an awful fight to watch though.)

Floyds resume since he has come back from retirement (excusing Berto because the less said about that fight the better) is up there with the very best, if not the best. Maybe Froch and Ward being the only other two that have consistently faced world class fighters (before Wards semi-retirement).
Floyd has fought better comp than both. Mack, Groves & Johnson/ Smith, Rodriquez & Green aren't better than Floyd's weakest Berto, Ortiz & Guerrero. Well that's my opinion.

Mosley was scheduled to fight Berto and Berto pulled out because of the disaster in Haiti so Mayweather then chose Mosley as his opponent for May.

People wanted it when Mayweather came back and he randomly chose to fight Marquez of all people - a fight that no one even thought was possible, let alone wanted.
