No I don't agree, the timing of the fights were never so that you could consider any of them legitimate threats. It may seem unfair but that's how most people see it, Floyd is a very skilled guy who simply never pushed himself, and that matters more than a lot of people here are willing to admit. Also his performances for some of those fights weren't great, but you have pretty low standards when it comes to that so why bother.

I don't really read into that. The timing of all of those fights was disappointing for a fighter of Mayweather's calibre.

Cotto was badly beaten up twice before Mayweather fought him and the fight could have taken place earlier.

Pacquaio was knocked out cold for 5 minutes by Marquez. The fight could have taken place earlier.

Mosley was out about 16 months before Mayweather finally decided to fight him. Took a natural disaster in Haiti for it to happen.

Floyd has those wins, yes, but none are over those fighters in their prime. Not even looking at the circumstances. The "Prime ATG" still isn't there for a fighter of his caliber.

Nope, Pacquiao at his prime would have been considered a legitimate threat, Cotto at his prime as well, Margarito is another name. That's why I specifically said the timing of the fights mattered.

I have never pushed for the Golovkin fight, it's unrealistic, and Floyd would have never taken the fight before much less now that he is older.
