Canelo will move up to MW after 1-2 fights with Cotto. First off all the top JMW's are with Haymon. Second off, after Cotto, Golovkin is the biggest money fight out there for Alvarez - unless you believe there's a possibility of a Mayweather rematch.

In the meantime Golovkin could have a big fight in the UK with the winner of Lee/Saunders, he has a mandatory vs Tureano/O'Kane, maybe Quillin/Jacobs, and maybe Froch comes back and fights him in the UK.

If they offer the right money, Saunders would take the fight just like Lemieux did. It won't take Alvarez even 2 years to fight Golovkin, he's a big boy and outgrowing the JMW division. Even if Alvarez fought Floyd again, he'd be free soon after and Golovkin would be his biggest payday after that.
