Come on ffs. If team GGG even mentioned Heiland people like you would cram it back down their collective throat. Virtually everybody would rather see Lemieux-Golovkin than Lara-Golovkin. If GGG beat Lara he would probably not get credit for it and if he lost he would lose all credibility and all the while he would make hardly any money - once Lara has a belt or actually can bring some money that fight could be made.
Golovkin is 33 and six months now. I figure he has possibly another 18-24 months in his prime depending on how ****** up he gets in the ring. Actually I think he may be past his physical prime now but his experience will temporarily mask that.
He's looking to 1/ maximize his earnings and 2/ create a legacy ... In that order! Fighting Lara does neither. The only reason to take Heiland or Johnson is if they become mandatories or as a stay-busy fight as Golovkin says he likes to fight 3/4 times a year.
