Zab I agree with without a doubt, but can't blame him for fighting Baldomir imo. It was for the lineal belt. Zab ****ed all that up by losing to Baldomir in the first place lol.

No, truth is he took $1 more to fight baldomir. Arum offered Floyd $8million plus bonus(depending how high the PPv sales went) but instead he bought out his contract with Arum and ended up taking $8million and one dollar from goosen promotion to fight baldomir. Fact, look it up.

this is so true. floyd fans act like cotto and pac were at their best when floyd fought them of dear. if he fought marg they would probably do the same. their pea brains can't understand that you can duck someone and then 5 years later fight that very same person! that doesn't mean he didn't them duck 5 years earlier. very complex stuff.

I don't understand why the Margarito vs Mayweather fight didn't happen back in 2008-12. Did Mayweather duck or what ? imo Margarito had the style to beat Mayweather.....

The reason Mayweather opted for the buyout rather than waiting for the May 6 result was because the contract had a limited window for the buyout, one that expired before the De La Hoya fight. However, Arum said he would have extended the window if Mayweather had asked. What Arum wouldn't do, he said, was raise the guarantees for other fights outlined in the contract.

floyd and margarito were both with top rank back then. they offered him the marg fight for 7 mill and he fought sharmba and zab instead. then they offered it to him again for 8 but he demanded 20 mill guarantee to fight hoya as part of the deal(he fought hoya for 10)
