New York - A fight that many fight fans have been interested in seeing is a showdown between WBA/IBO middleweight champion, Gennady Golovkin (33-0, 33 KO’s) and super middleweight Andre Ward (28-0, 15 KO’s).

Golovkin has a collision lined up with IBF middleweight champion David Lemieux (34-1, 32 KO’s). While Ward is rumored to be fighting on the Miguel Cotto-Canelo Alvarez pay-per-view card after he recently fought this past June at a catch-weight of 172 lbs.

Both are widely regarded as top-tier P4P fighters but GGG's still looking for a major showcase scalp, whereas Ward is universally recognised as the top man at SM. That makes Ward 60/40 A-side if you ignore that hype.

Lol man either say you gonna stay at 160 and entertain a fight with Ward at 168 at a later time or take the fight. Don't act like a bunch of b1tches with this 164 shiet.

What I find hilarious about team GGG, is that when they said anyone from 154-168, they were comfortable saying they'd fight anyone whom didn't show interest in them. But when certain fighters who shall not be named lol said they'd fight them, they all of a sudden need to flex the political game. And what makes matters worse, GGG hardcore fan base painted them as these warriors from the old school way of boxing, just to find out they play the same games as the boxers they hate, but they'll condone it for GGG bc he's GGG lmao.

Nah keep it going lol. If anything it's gonna make Andre Ward popular if GGG does end up unifying middleweight. Bc fans whom wanna see interest in GGG being challenged will ask for Ward based of GGG fanboys hatred of Ward.

GGG just sold 15k seats at MSG with the fight being 2 months away. While Ward is trying to get back into the game and make a name for himself after being away from the sport for so long. I understand what team GGG is saying.

I like both Ward and GGG and if they were a little closer in weight it would be a magnificent showdown but right now they're currently 12lbs apart from where they both weight in. GGG @ 160 and Ward @ 172. I would hate to see this fight materialize with one fighter having an advantage over the other due to a CW. Either GGG would have to go up in weight and away from a weight where he's performing great at, or Ward would have to come down in weight and possibly drain himself in the process.

GGG is fighting Lemiuex and possibly the winner of Cotto/Canelo after so long as he's victorious. The fight for Ward that the fans SHOULD be clamoring for is Ward vs Krusher. Why? Both fighters are only 3lbs apart and technically fight in the same division.
