In any division theres a limit, in this case (MW) is 160. But the division really starts at 154.5 to 160.
      what an idiot.

But cotto himself claims he is the first Rican ever to win championships in 4 weightclasses but be isn't a real middleweight?

What bigger guys has cotto beaten at their weight not with a catchweight?

The 2 bigger guys Martinez & Geale. One was shot with a dodgy knee and the other a weight drained zombie. How do you give Cotto credit for that?

            It may have been.

The point is, who knows ?

            I have no idea.

Team Geale know, but historians can't take their word for it.

I suspect it did, so it is hard to evaluate that win.

Just as it is hard to evaluate every catchweight win.

Encouraging to see so many posters speaking out about catchweights.

              Good stuff guys !

In my personal life, if something is.....
              1) completely unnecessary
              2) adds no value whatsoever
              3) creates more questions than answers

I burn the fkn usless thing right there in my driveway.

Catchweights are now OBVIOUSLY being exploited and abused to allow one fighter (usually the A-side) to gain an unfair advantage.

God knows how/why the average boxing fan of today is willing and able to accept such low standards..... considering that catchweights are completely unnecessary.

this diva cotto deserves no credit for those fights martinez was a one legged shot fighter and geale was weight drained both were catch weight fights.you are a hypocrite for criticizing catch weight fights but support it when cotto does it.

the guys he moved "up" to fight were both pre-destroyed fighters at silly catchweights

did he win? yes, but what else do you want people to say?

he said GGG wasn't famous enough to fight him then fought the guy golovkin just walked through. credit=0

You should know about catch weights. You were against it when it was done to Cotto. Remember 1 pound makes a big difference.
Haha the ******ity on this site is astounding, love the sig quotes.
