GGG doesn't need a catchweight for anyone else at 168, except Andre SOG Ward. His fans would rather play ****** and criticize Ward for not accepting the catchweight. LOL!

SOG has already exposed GGG, so he may as well move on to Kovalev. Kovalev is feeling himself right now and thinks he's ready for SOG.

Kov is a tougher fight anyway. SOG needs a tuneup at 175 then it should be on to the dude with the ******ist sounding accent ever.
Ward needs a tune up at 175 before Kovalev, but GGG should have jumped straight up to 168 for Ward?

Ward has had one fight at LHW already. How many more before you realise - Ward is not going to fight Kovalev.

GGG haters can't stand the idea that he's fighting on PPV....Meanwhile the unknown (besides NSB and Oakland) Andre SOG Ward fights on BET.

Wards last fight wasn't at 168, and people think its because ward was out of shape and couldn't get down to weight yet. Thats not true. Ward is a gym rat, this whole time he has been out of the ring, he has been in the gym every day.

The truth is he is outgrowing 168, and would have to drain himself to make 168.

GGG's team knows this, and doesn't want to take a fight where ward comes into the ring at 180+lb for their first fight at 168, so they try to get a catch weight to make ward lose weight to be closer to his normal 168 weight.

Its all talk though, because Ward never intended to fight GGG, when he has a much easier fight in Kovalev waiting for him in a weight class that he has grown into, and actually a weight class that he won his olympic medal in.

Kovalev is clearly without a dance partner on the horizon, so Ward has much more leverage in negotiating a favorable purse than in a fight with GGG.

All the business sense, and physical realities, point to everything being hype to build back up Andre Wards name after his absence, and then swapping GGG for Kovalev.
I agree with you that Ward never intended to fight GGG.

He knew that GGG vs Lemieux was about to be finalized, and that it would be safe for him to start demanding GGG himself, without any chance of his bluff being called.

I don't agree that his real target is Kovalev though. I don't think Ward is going to fight Krusher in a million years.

What I think he will do is keep talking about GGG and Kovalev for the publicity, while fighting cans on BET for as long as he can get away with it, then find some excuse to retire and take up commentating again.

        Time will tell.

Fearing a loss and fearing a person is two different things. You said 3G feared Ward, he clearly doesn't. This is boxing, fights are negotiated and each fighter looks for advantages. Fighting at the full limit at 168 could be said to be an advantage for Ward, does that mean Ward is afraid of 3G? Don't be an idiot, neither of these guys fears the other, and for the record I think Ward defeats 3G at any weight.

GGG will get hit in this one, and it's going to be interesting to see how his chin holds up. I think GGG takes him out within 5 rounds, but Lemieux has game-changing power, if he pulls off the upset he'll be a God in Quebec and a rematch down the line could be worth the big bucks.
He will be a fkn god everywhere.

He will be painted as the biggest killer since Liston because of the hype surrounding Golovkin.

                  I couldnt bear it.

Best of luck to both guys..... but WAR Golovkin !

The only fighters that you can say were really feared was Mike Tyson, and even then guys still got in the ring with him, Max Baer was feared somewhat in his time, and to a certain extant George Forman. Nobody fears Ward, I mean Chad Dawson went down a full weight division because he was sure he could defeat Ward, Fighters don't fear him, GGG's looking for any advantage he can get. Not the same thing.
                    Nah, he is scurred alright.

Scurred that the hype-train will get derailed.

Come on man, they know Ward cant make 164.

The 164 demand effectively removed Ward from the equation.

They used a different excuse for Mora, and a different excuse for Lara.

Ward is not the only guy they have avoided, they dont want nothing to do with the spoilers..... boxing is all about styles/matchmaking.

No **** Chavez and Froch were A side vs Ward, are you kidding me? Ward just fought on BET with 300k viewers, and will probably fight a bum on an undercard.

Well I guess Ggg doesn't need a tune-up to go up in weight and face Wards best scalp on his home turf. Funny that. And you're taking it against him lol.

So you think Ward is fighting a 175 tune-up like Fonfara next on that undercard?
We dont understand why a boxing fan would concern himself with that.

And we certainly dont understand why a boxing fan would accept that rubbish and use it as an excuse.

I do know that Golovkin is not the A-side with Cotto/Canelo..... so I cant wait to see you flip-flop shamelessly when it comes to that negotiation.
