I agree. He was nearly stopped by a light puncher in his last fight. After Paulie I wanted a true top contender at welterweight for Danny. I guess the Paulie fight didn't inspire confidence in the jump and they want another test.

Now Thurman vs. Porter being pretty much official? Great news. I love that fight.

guerrero was never that good to begin with, not even at phone booth fight. he can box ok. reason why he beat berto in close range fight is cause berto sucks at it , berto sucks overall

I don't buy that he chose Guerrero over Thurman or Porter. If he really did that is disappointing. I think Al wanted the Thurman-Porter fight and that Garcia and his camp would rather fight Guerrero over giving Khan a a chance at a rematch that he doesn't deserve.

Would have preferred a guy like Devon Alexander, who has at least won fights recently and hasn't shown any decline yet. Even Chaves is better at this point. A year ago this would have been a great matchup. Now? Not so much.
