Quality. I was tempted to fly to NY but Oct are busy for me. Hope the fight is a barn burner while it lasts.

Cotto vs Geale was at Barclays, which out sold GGG vs Geale by 4k tickets, if it was at MSG it would have sold more then 20k, because FACT Cotto has sold out the Garden 10 straight times. I don't understand what is this obsession with Cotto and degrading or attacking his achievements. GGG is doing big things but if you think its all because of GGG alone you all are sadly mistaken. Is it just by chance that after Cotto became the lineal champ and GGG became the mando., GGG's popularity began to sky rocket? You really think the prospect of having GGG fight either Canelo or Cotto doesn't contribute to his rising popularity? You really think that Lemeuix has nothing to do with these high ticket sales?

Yeah Ward is aiming for a klitchko, gigi is aiming for klits His manager admitted he will fight tougher competition after he beats Pepe Lemieux. Admitting he hasnt fought ANY competition up to this point, lol. NOW WE KNOW why he DECLINED TO FIGHT WARD AT 168 after offering fights to anyone else at that weight. At least we know he doesnt think he can beat Ward at that weight. LOL. But hey the saltines need something to get excited about. The Great White Hype!

how do you know it?did ggg say it?in his interview ggg said that ward ducked him several times.I dont know if its true but he said in the olimpics Ward decided to fight at another weight class so he can avoid ggg...maybe ward wouldnt win gold if he would have fought ggg.

gigi said he'd fight Froch and Chavez Jr at 168, when approached about ward at that weight he said HELL NO! He is scared of Ward. why would he fight these other two at 168 but want ward to come down and not fight him at the same weight he said he'd fight other guys at that weight? His fanboys know he doesnt want to fight elite level boxers, just cans. lol

When did he decline to fight Ward at ANY weight? When did Ward make an offer to fight Golovkin? Where is the contract? Got a link to a press release from Roc Nation that they contacted GGG's team and offered them a fight? Did Golovkin and K2 make an offer to Ward recently? Have a link to that offer? Anything at all from anyone saying that the two sides had been involved in talks? No?

Or are you just making yourself look like an ignorant ass again? No real need to reply, we all know the answer.

Ward is no longer an elite fighter. The guy can't even get a fight on HBO and RN have to pay to show his fight on television on a channel no one watches. Put Paul Smith in the ring with GGG and Smith won't last one round even with a 20 pound weight advantage.

By the way... who is Ward fighting next? Where is he fighting, his church basement? Will it be televised on Oakland community television this time?

Why the hell would Golovkin want to fight someone who brings nothing to the table? No fans, no money, no MW title and whose last fight was TWO DIVISIONS higher than middleweight?

Pointless to try to explain facts to someone who lives under a bridge.

You are using facts which will confuse a few people in this thread. I agree with you 100%, no reason to slight Cotto and his achievements. I don't understand why GGG fans feel the need to step on Cotto like he's been the one holding GGG's career hostage. This event is great for GGG and boxing as a whole, but there are plenty of factors to why this fight is selling like hot cakes.

i say that bc this will just become another way he can duck fights outside of his division or even inside if some sort of competition comes along...

canelo had the chance to be this way but he took the lara fight anyways...will GGG do the same with dangerous opponents who are not popular? as of late he's made excuse so my short answer is no, but only time will tell
