Ward is no longer an elite fighter. The guy can't even get a fight on HBO and RN have to pay to show his fight on television on a channel no one watches. Put Paul Smith in the ring with GGG and Smith won't last one round even with a 20 pound weight advantage.

There was never an offer to Ward, there were never any discussions with Ward's camp. There was never any contact between the two sides at all. Nothing. Zilch. Nada. Rien. When that interview was given, K2 was in negotiations to finalize the Lemieux fight and a fight with Ward was not even in anyone's thoughts at all.
