yes chavez jr...he brings a crowd.. he brings fights that u get to rant and rave about at the end of the day and unlike ggg he's traveled some weight classes after being dominant at 160...1 or 2 years from now u could be looking at ggg the same way..

what is it about Golovkin that makes people so ******ed? You and Nay_Sayer and a few others turn FULL ****** whenever he comes up. Chavez dominant at 160, yeah really? Getting schooled by Sergio Martinez, going the distance against Rubio while weighing 190 pounds and skipping out on the drug test, and of course beating Peter Manfredo Jr is dominating 160 now?
When Floyd leaves the #1 p4p spot will go to Andre Ward. He has the best resume and overall skill set.
At what point do things he accomplished years ago keep allow him to receive the #1 spot? I'm not arguing against his resume, but no way should he be #1 for things he did approaching 4 years ago. If it was any other fighter, I doubt people would allow someone to be P4P #1 off of accolades that long past.

I would say its between Ward, Rigondeaux, Gonzolaz, Kovalev, and GGG. Of course Ward, Kovalev, and GGG are all in the same weight range. A combination of any of the three squaring off would likely crown a new #1. As for Rigo and Gonzolaz. Wonder how Gonzolez feels about jumping up to 122 to fight Rigo. Or, if Rigo would consider dropping down a few lbs to make that happen. That style match-up would be awesome.
Well, Floyd will REALLY retire sometime next yr. So maybe after September when Floyd "retires" GGG might be consider by some the p4p. But, if Ward gets active and reclaim titles will be the most probable #1 p4p; or if Canelo beats Cotto, he'll be ahead of GGG (don't expect Canelo to fight GGG anytime soon, Canelo would fight him but couple of yrs from now). Today, Roman Gonzalez is above him. New comers like Crawford, Thurman, DSG (even I don't think these last 2 are great), Spence Jr or J-Rock Williams will be knocking the door to be the next top dog. All of these (except Roman) are fluent in English, young (GGG is 32 already), with better competition in their record (Not entirely GGG fault, WW is a weak division) and I strongly believe once GGG moves up in weight, he'll be fighting ppl his own size and wont be able to run over smaller limited fighters as he has been doing!!! So, I just don't think so Abel!!!
Let me ask the GGG fans this question.........if GGG retired right now.........would you define him as an ATG or a 1st ballot? And if so, please explain why.
At this point, he's 33, fought mid level competition, best win on his resume is probably going to be Geale, and that's not saying much. The top 10 at 160 is a laughingstock.
I don't think it's out the question to ask him to move to 168, he's fought at 160 his entire professional career. And the competition at 160 isn't going to get any better over the next couple of years. There are plenty of lucrative fights at 168 that I think would test his skill set. I hope after this Lemieux fight that he is willing to do something to enhance his legacy.

I'd rather watch Gonzalez vs Inoue tbh with you, I think that would be a more action packed firework type fight.......and I'd pull for Inoue in that fight honestly.
