  • Comments Thread For: Sanchez: Golovkin Could Snatch Mayweather's P4P Rank

Abel Sanchez, trainer of WBA/IBO middleweight champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin, could see his man potentially overtake the top pound for pound position in the sport - which is currently held by Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Mayweather returns on September 12th against Andre Berto at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Golovkin is back on October 17th in a middleweight unification against David Lemieux at New York's Madison Square Garden.

this will be the day i officially stop watching boxing..that day the sport will dwindle down to no more than a media comic book...excuse me...having him in the top 5 p4p right now already is media comedy...lord that we might as well rename the sport "Jim Lampley"

btw i'd pay to see someone sucker punch sanchez...im sick of it

He needs the better names and fighters, at the moment the competition in his weight class is pretty weak, even above his weight only one or two names stands out.

says he can make 154-168...camps out in 160...STRATEGIC DUCKING PPL

he should be ranked number 164...

denies you a p4p fight then tells you to order his ppv!
THATS REALLY WAT YOU ALL WANT IN THE SPORT?

tells you that willie monroe is a bigger name than Lara!

some of you ggg fans find yourselves defending more than u do enjoying boxing talk...THAT SHOULD TELL U SOMETHING

above him there is more than 1 or two names...chavez jr, ward, degale, dirrell, jack, groves...
i respect all these names better than anything at 160 excluding cotto bc he is 156 get over it ggg fans...

if u dont see talent in that list i dont know how to convince u and u'd have to give him credit for moving up and winning if he can do it..

It would be very hard for Floyd to maintain his no 1 ranking P4P anyway. The guy is at the end of his career and GGG is in his prime. If GGG continues the way he's going then I would expect GGG to move to No 1. The guy is a pure boxer, puncher with an incredible record. GGG will clean out he's division and unify all belts. He's another level to any of he's competition and I still believe we haven't seen the best of him yet and that will come when someone tests him.

This **** is delusional!!! Who the fuck has GGG fought Abel!!!??? Who the fuck is Lemieux really? Lemieux got TKO'd by Rubio and lost to Alcine ffs lol. Lemieux is a P4P caliber opponent doe. The sad thing is Lemieux will be one of GGG's best opponents lol. Berto > Lemieux(and yes Mayweather vs Berto on PPV is a shit fight also) I can't wait for this hype job, his fanboys, and his moronic team to get deflated back to reality.

We cute kids from the suburbs can BEAT ANYONE'S ass. It's time to change the stereotype that you have to be from the ****** and ugly in order to be able to fight.

                  WE TAKIN OVER. Period.

                  Golovkin... Kovalev... Beterbiev... Rousey...

PS: WE HAVE TO BE HONEST, there's a sector in boxing who can't STAND that the most powerful man in boxing is white. That their sector can't beat them and that they are inferior in comparison.
